They are better passing the ball than running the ball right now.

Yep, and we all see it. So now, just pounding the rock early in the game, it's simply letting the opposing defense off. But I still think they should use play action often, because Zeke is still a threat. If they stop respecting the Play Action, simply take note when they don't, and mix in some timely runs...

We aren't going to make a deep playoff run with Zeke getting 30 carries, with a "3 yards and a cloud of dust" approach. It's going to be behind Dak's arm, Moore's creativity, and some timely runs by Zeke in the 2nd half, protecting leads.

In some games, Zeke can still be featured if the Cowboys want to exploit a bad run defense, but focus on that in the 2nd half. Let Dak and Moore go to work in the first half, sprinkling Zeke in.

It's time. Let Dak earn his big payday coming.

Side benefit: Zeke will then arrive in the playoffs more fresh, if they can make it in.

Stop if you have heard this before: the Cowboys get off to a slow start and battle back. It’s kind of the story of the season. But having a halftime lead – like they do against Detroit, 24-14 – has been a good thing. All five Cowboys’ wins have come when they have led going to the locker room after two quarters. According to ESPN Stats & Info, the Cowboys’ 24 points are the second-most in the first half of Dak Prescott’s career. They had 27 vs. Philadelphia in Week 7.
