Defense better come out with their ears pinned back and their teeth bared.

that "INT" burns me. What a farce. And invisible penalties on big gain plays have killed us in the first half. And can we get to a loose ball and clamp it for god's sake? We've arguably outplayed Carolina in the first half.

Can't emphasize enough how much we NEED this game.

Tony Terrific so far.

Why no MB3 in the first half?

JJ is having a solid outing, but where's the change of pace?

I think Carolina has so much respect for JJ that we are keeping him in there to try and keep their pass rush honest.

Spagnola is going to be all over Romo tomorrow about that pick.

We still have another half. Romo could look great. He could end up looking like garbage.

Romo has made roughly 5-6 plays that Drew Bledsoe could not have made. How many first downs has he scrambled for?

I just wish Romo wouldn't short circuit with those stupid flip-passes that get intercepted.

Otherwise, I certainly wouldn't bench him for Charlie Batch.

I think he picked up two first downs.

The ball is not only being spread around making this offense more dimensional but Romo is extending downs himself. If he doesn't get too cocky and we keep the pressure up we can win this game against a tough team.

We're slow starters. Romo has made one bad mistake and a few borderliners. Other than that, I'll have to admit, he looks good. And that means something. And, look out now, but slowly and quietly JJ is putting up good numbers...

Jones is going to bethe x-factor in a game (and a week) swirling around Romo. Jones running performance is going to dictate the opportunities Romo has with play-action.

I really think the comments about Parcells not showing any sort of emotion anymore ring true. He needs to get fired up, or maybe we should get someone in here who will.

The keys to this game:

Defense must pressure Delhomme better.

No big plays for Steve Smith.

Keep running Julius.

No turnovers from Romo.

Quick half recap...

Romo leads us down the field, but we miss a 48 yard attempt. After holding the Panthers to virtually nothing on their first two possessions, Delhomme leads the Panthers down the field for a TD.

We get the ball on the next possession....Romo quickly gets us a first down, but a holding call pushes us back. On third down, Romo makes a boneheaded throw....Gamble juggles the pass, get's pushed out by TO, but the play is ruled an INT. We challenge, but there's not enough to reverse the call. Next play, Smith takes a reverse 39 yards for a TD.

Romo then leads us down the field for a TD to Witten. Carolina fumbles the kickoff...it looks like we're going to recover....but our player tries to run with it. He drops it and Carolina recovers.

Instead of stopping them on their end, our defense allows Carolina to reach midfield. They pin us at the ten.

Romo leads us to a FG.....which we luckily get a second chance on after it's blocked....

14-10 we get the ball to start the second half.

Romo looked real strong in the first half. I wish they put ROMO IN ALL SEASON LIKE I'VE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT! let's hope he does as well in the second half.

Pretty surprising some of Parcells' confidants (he doesn't have many) were urging him to start Romo in training camp.

I can understand giving Bledsoe the chance to keep his job in the regular season, but I'm pleased Tuna made the switch despite his history with Drew.

Isn't it nice to see Whitten as an offensive weapon again? Helleven Fasano has a 1st down grab!

The D I thought would step up, and the offense would be conservative, looks like the opposite.

Madden is on crack running on and on about the routes...the first one was a bad route, but the other two (Owens 1, Glenn 1) were run where they were supposed to be, it was just pretty good coverage by their guys

the bigger question is why keep calling those routes when it is apparent that Carolina is ready for them...use the damn middle of the field

David
Agreed. They were all normal sideline routes. It's the O-line's job to protect the QB; it's the QB's job to get the ball over the shoulder near or at the sideline; it's the WR's job to be there.
