Exactly............Garrett totally wasted Romo's best years.

I am calling 3-13 right now...............we will not win a single game with these scrub backups and Coach Clap running this ship.

I don't blame Garrett. I blame Jerry. Garrett was offered the opportunity and took it, like anyone else would do. Gives it everything he has, just isn't good enough.

The way he was treated, I don't think Callahan will come back here. And I would not blame him one bit.

Calahan is under contract so would have to be promoted. There's nothing wrong with the OL not seen in a few others. The wrong plays at the wrong time make everyone look poor.

If you want a new QB then who are you going to get? Not Chucky or Cowher. They aren't only not coming but they haven't coached in too long IMO. They don't know the position coaches or even coordinators nor the evolution of the game lately. And generally college coached don't do well. I'm sure there are some coordinators out there or even retreads who might do a good job. New schemes, new coaches, new everything and expect the players and new players to take awhile to get it all down.

Never been a huge Garrett fan but I'd be surprised if he isn't back next year along with most of the coaches. I'd consider at the least a better DB coach although I'd find a new D coordinator esp one I thought could be a replacement for Garrett if necessary. That's still a big change for everyone esp the players.

I feel sorry for Romo and Witten whose probable HOF careers haven't worked out here.

Didn't get to watch the game, but maybe Tony wasn't in game shape. After all he turned over the ball the last game, and from what I read had LB picks. Thats the mistake prone Tony. To me I think he took too much on his shoulders trying to get some scores, and
again not having played many games just wasn't ready for this type of D and contest, especially on a short week.

He was missing the underneath coverages. Not sure if it was rust, or just one of those awful games he has every couple years, but it was pretty bad.

Doesn't matter, I guess. Just bummed to have the season effectively over here with 5 still to play.

Callahan was probably watching this game and laughing hysterically.. He was also probably sitting next to Dan Reeves and Wade Phillips, who probably were on the floor chuckling non-stop..

He coaches the Commanders. He shouldn't be laughing at anything. Can we please stop overrating Callahan. He is not the reason we are 3-8 and a boatload of injuries. He's a mediocre coach along with Wade Phillips. Another person this board tends to overrate. Phillips shouldn't be laughing either. He's never accomplished anything and Dan Reeves not much better either.

It wont be on purpose if it does.

Washington playing better and can score.
GB....
NYJ....Todd Bowles great Def...wont hit 20pts
Buffalo....McCoy, Taylor and the Buffalo Def.
Wash..may be playing for division.

I agree, it won't be on purpose. Nonetheless I was responding to a post that was encouraging it.

Penn State's Christian Hackenberg is a guy we should look at closely.
He has all the physical tools. Many people thought he would have been a top pick last year if he had been draft eligible.
Having a tough season this year because of a bad offensive line and their coach Franklin (guy who replaced Bill Obrian) is more of a recruiter than a game coach. We should scout him carefully, but there is a real chance he goes before we draft based on how much some people think of him.

I'm with you! Really like this kid as well

Even if it is not broken, he is going to be out a while. My guess would be a possible bone bruise, that would give the same pain sensation as a broken clavicle since Romo said it felt the same, but would be hard to detect on xrays and that's why they are saying they need the CT scan tomorrow to make sure. This is what we are looking at fellas.....

Broken clavicle obviously means he is gone for the year. If it is a bone bruise, we are looking at 3-4 weeks as long as the integrity of the bone has not been jeopardized. Either way, I think Romo has taken his last snap this season. I would put him on IR and just roll with Cassel and Moore from the practice squad.

Either way this season is officially done..................put a fork in it.

yeah he is done or should be, he is older, his bones will take longer to heal, and came back too soon.
Also they did nothing to offer better pass protection for tony.
So they were just asking for this.

The way he got hurt says he was not healed enough to be on the field.
Add to that they were 3-7, it was kinda stupid.

Time to play kellen moore and see what he can do. and let cassel bk up moore.

Doubt that happens though as they will do the typical, start cassel and run same offense and try to win as many games as possible.

Actually they still have a shot at the div, until they lose 2 more. Depends on the giants though.

Garrett will be back. As long as the team does not quit, you can bank on it. There have been to many things this year that were out of his control.

Callahan built this OL and running game. He's gotten to a SB as an OC and had Sanchez in the play-offs under his line.

And the Commanders are better than us, with an injured OL and a train-wreck this off-season. He's coaching their OL and that's their best attribute this season.

Callahan may not be great, but he's responsible for whatever good there is on this team and we played disciplined when he was here.

Huh?

"Reeves guided the Broncos to six post-season appearances, five divisional titles, three AFC championships and three Super Bowl appearances (Super Bowl XXI, Super Bowl XXII and Super Bowl XXIV) during his 12-year tenure."

Dan Reeves has better pedigree than anything we have had in here since Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcells included. He was also good friends with Tom Landry, all the more reason to yuck it up when Jerry's teams do poorly.

Doesn't matter how much you slice it, all three of those coaches have been the the playoffs multiple times and one to multiple SBs as head coaches. They're all better, more worthy coaches, than Garrett has ever been. Garrett's best season was last year making the playoffs only once in his HC tenure, due to a running game effectively coached by Callahan.
