wade phillips won his first game in 07 vs ny and the offense hung 38 points on the board in the win and the next day all the local media attacked wade phillips for the defense giving up a bunch of points. They dubbed him mr. fixit. they started 11-1 and he got ridiculed.

Garrett leaving was important because it showed Jerry was cutting ties with a guy he loved so much. Outside of that, it had little value, because he wasn’t doing anything.
