Not necessarily but you may find as a unit they are serviceable and can win games when all of the starters play.

ST units were fine last season...and STs are completely meaningless all preseason for every team. More tryouts there than in any other phase.

that i agree with im not concerned wiht ST. I know hes evaluating and trying new things. Hes got his crap together. Its teh D and the penalties i am concerned with.

Many of these guys are not going to be depth. They will be looking to catch on with another club if they are lucky. Many will be happy to have memories of being a "Cowboy" once.

Many defensive starters were out so a fair amt of depth started. However, the depth is an issue but that's not news. We knew that coming in.

Rayford, Coleman, Bush were all in there. So was Hitchens and Holloman.

And they looked bad too.

Exactly! Right now, we are looking at players who are 3rd or 4th string and seeing if they deserve 2nd or 3rd team reps based on game film.

The majority of guys playing right now, will not make the team! Our first team defense looked good. I've got to believe that our special teams will get shored up when we narrow down to the 53. Right now we are trying to see who can play special teams. We had the same problem last preseason. However, when the regular season started, we looked much better.

I imagine so. We did have some STs guys who will play on Sundays out there but some were being evaluated like you said.
