IDK about winning/loses ways....cuz teams go undefeated in preseason don't do it in the regular season and same for teams that don't win during preseason.

Yeah its just like a regular season football game except for final scores don't matter, players who you will never see again play the majority of the game, and letting a team "hang around" until the 4th quarter has absolutely no consequences.

Other than that, you're right. Just like a meaningful regular season game.
