You hit the nail on the head. We play a vanilla preseason offense. No deep passes to one of the best route runners in the league that you have up a first for. Plus Gallup can get free as well. Slants etc.

Exactly, and it's showed yet again this play. We have the players, and Dak's thrown the deep patterns before. What we lack is the creativity needed to be able to use our strengths sufficiently. That's on the coaches. Preseason would actually be generous to Garrett. I would reckon that our offence looks a bit more like a high school offence than it does a preseason offence.
