Why release Sewo now? Is Dallas making room for a signing? If so, prop not a huge deal Eitherway.. but I am intrigued

Poe probably got popped down the depth chart to the point where they would rather just let him go and give him a chance to find a new team sooner rather than later.

A change under McCarthy, I think. We used to treat players like Pokemon cards and keep their rights even if it was extremely unlikely we would keep them. We've been cutting guys a lot earlier than we have to in the last couple of years.

They can't exceed 90 spots on the roster, and after adding 29 guys between the draft and UDFA signings, they likely need the roster spot. Looking at the roster on the team website, it looks like they have 73 guys listed, not including the UDFAs. Two more guys will have to be let go at a minimum prior to camp.
