Practice Squad Cowboys waive WR Jon'Vea Johnson

Noah Brown is a much better roster fit than Johnson. Brown is bigger, stronger, can block well enough to fill an H-back role, and most of all contribute on special teams. Johnson is basically just a speed receiver that would be a waste of a roster spot behind Cooper, Gallup, Lamb, and Wilson.

And during the pandemic teams are a lot more likely to keep their own guys for a PS instead of signing guys off other teams. So guys like Jon'Vea are a perfect fit to spend another year developing on the PS, he needs the reps and wasn't even a full time starter in college.

RB/FB Sewo Olonilua was waived, he is also a perfect PS guy.

So, I guess he still has problems catching the ball. He was constantly open last year but couldn't catch the ball. Maybe he can be a CB.
