I know i've asked before without much luck, but now I have a girl asking me, does anyone know of a Cowboys game-watching bar in NYC, specifically Manhattan?

I was thinking, there seems to be a good amount of us in other cities, and unless I'm blind and we already have a list, perhaps a good "Zone" would be a Bar Watching Zone, where people could find a list fo Cowboys bars in different cities. What do you think?

I always end up resorting to going to random bars and dealing with meathead Giants and Eagles fans, would be great to meet up with some people with good tast for a change to watch the Boys.

Thanks everyone

Very good idea ^. If anyone is in NW Houston, I know that the SRO on 1960 and Cutten always has a big group of Cowboys fans. I usually go there or BW3's for the away games.

It was formally called the Tailgating Zone.

Now it's been merged into the Members Zone.

Good idea. I am in Long Island most of the time, but if I hear of any Cowboy sports bars in the city I will let you know. You should check out the ESPN Zone in the city, I am sure you you will find some Cowboy fans there. We are everywere.:starspin

I haven't found a bar in the city that I would call "the Cowboys Fan bar" but I always find Cowboys fans wherever I go.

I know one of the bartenders at Blondies on the upper east side used to be a Cowboys fan and there used to be a good amount of people there.. but I haven't been there this year..

I'd also would be interested in hearing if there is one main place that most Cowboys fans go to watch the game. Sometimes I think there are so many options that people just go wherever is closest. There are plenty of "alumni" bars, so I would guess that there has to be a "Cowboys" bar somewhere. I've only managed to find a Buffalo Bills bar so far... bah..

..but like jgboys1 said.. we are everywhere..

In las Vegas we hit up PTs on Silverado and Maryland a good bit (myself and another Lubbock transplant). There is an "official" cowboys bar here that is near Summerlin (I think) named Mr. Ds. At least I am pretty sure that is the name.

I live right by the Blondie's on the upper west side, its a steeler's bar, if those fools can get a bar, we should be able to! I usually just go to Brother Jimmy's, we're all friends with all the girls and managers (roommate dated one for a little over a year, has its perks!)

I just looked through the member zone, I guess I was thinking something specific to just listing out cities, and then bars in the city.

the NFL's TV contract with directTV kills me. I may end up buying a Slingbox and putting it at my folks house in DFW.

While it would be nice to have a dedicated forum for something like that, I think most users will tell you .. the fewer Zones there are, the better :)

In the NW side I end up in the Willowbrook area easier for me to get to. There is a BW3 but I been going to the burger place right next door by the AMC

I use to go to the CHamps but it closed down and Hooters is while Hooters overpriced

THanks to everyone who replied, I appreciate it.

I know another Zone would seem like overkill, maybe, but I'm thinking a Zone that just lists city names as Threads, then the posts under those threads could be the names of places to watch.

That way, the latest post would always be the most up to date in a thread, or we could do as Spindoc said, make each city a sticky, listing all the various bars, then the level of fans there, and the last time it was verified as a bar.

I think this forum is a great way to bring fans together, this idea would just extend it out to the real world a little more.

Maybe then a season-long sticky?

I think that would be a great idea. Not everyone lives in the Dallas area and the road warriors could really use it.

In my old traveling days in Tech Support, we had a bulletin board for all of the happy hours in various cities accross the country.

Most people on THIS board I would even invite into my home if they were on the road (who goes to CT on business tho...lol) and wanted to see the game.

Us dispersed fans should stick together !

The ...Zone is fine the way it is! Although, I do think your concept is sound. But I would expand your concept to include NFC-East fans with multiple moderators representing the 4-teams.

I'd call it ...Zone II Zone!

Can anyone else see the advantage of have a NFC-East Zone!? A place where all NFC-East fans can come to and respond to pre/regular/and post-season games that involve the Cowboys, Giants, Commanders and the Eagles. It wouldn't be for the squeamish and strict rules would have to be complied with, but it could be done!

Well then, since I'm in the area, maybe I should just go to Brother Jimmy's next time... because seriously.. they have two of the cutest waitresses.. who actually seem nice too.. There were about 8 Cowboys fans at TimeOut last week when I stopped in randomly... they were actually knowledgeable too.. it was refreshing... Hopefully the recent losing has gotten rid of some of the bandwagon..

There's no love lost between our two teams, especially going into this Sunday's game in Philly! But talk about the pot calling the kettle black! What makes you think your little victory over the Commanders entitle you to come here on the Zone and expose the Cowboys bandwagon!

You had better worry about your own bandwagon after Sunday. Now I don't want you to think I don't have much respect for Tiki Barber; beause I do. But Tiki will not be running against a weak Commanders DL. The Eagles held Tiki to 2-yards under his season average of 4 yards per carry. As you experienced in our two team's last meeting, we've learned to move the ball, defend against the run/pass and hammer the nails in the Giants coffin during the 4th quarter.

I must admit, I'm uncertain about Shockey being 100% or not! That's an unknown variable that I'm sure will be exploited along with your weak DL.

Still though, I'd like to hear your perspective about the game.

????? Umm... Huh??? .. Did something I say make you think I was a Giants fan?.. I'm lost..

I was saying that.. I'm hoping that the recent losing has help to shake some of the Romo and TO bandwagon fans off... I'm not sure how you took that...

Anywho... um.. I have to say I'm rooting for Philly.. I rather play the Bears next week than the Giants.. so go ahead.. make Elisha cry..

Oops! Actually I did draw something that made me believe you were a Giants fans. Check it out ...

...since I'm in the area (you live in New York)

...There were about 8 Cowboys fans at TimeOut last week when I stopped in randomly...(You used the term "there" versus an inclusive term like "us" ...it appeared that You distanced yourself)

...they were actually knowledgeable too..(you used the term "they" versus an inclusive term).

But I stand corrected.

I think you'd have a better shot at beating the Giants than the Bears. That's not saying that you can't/won't beat the Bears, but the key is to go to the next level as injury-free as possible. The Bears will probably give you a harder way to go than the Giants.

Anyway, the Eagles intend to beat the Giants convincingly!

You better hope that they do, because if they lose that game? I'm going to remind you of it all year long!

You talk alot of trash, but, what does your team have for it?

Absoutely nothing!

:laugh2:

You better hope to hell they win!
