...come next week.

Here's our supposed "struggle in December" as I see it:

The Eagles: Romo clearly struggled with his bad thumb. If we score a mere 13 points, we win.

The Panthers: We were really clicking until T.O. went down. This kind of changed the momentum and play-calling of the game obviously.

The Commanders: Vanilla offense and no-blitzing vanilla defense that were "just out there". Why those guys act like they won an all-out war is beyond me. Do you really think we were playing this game as if we must win it? That would have been the Commanders...I won't even mention the injuries also.

Maybe this is considered a "struggle" but for obvious and correctable reasons. We will see this team light it up next week...I KNOW IT!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PLAYOFFS! :starspin

Healthy players is the key. If TO, Gurode, Watkins, Killer Davis, Glenn, etc. can come back strong, we will dominate the opposition no matter who it is. But if we're still banged up, it could make a difference. I just hope it isn't a critical difference. Of course, I'm assuming that Romo's thumb is fine.

More importantly, I will be ready. I've been saving big time drunk-on for the playoff push. God forbid we lose.

Spin it any way you want, but it doesn't matter anyway.

You can throw 13-3 out of the window. Every team is now 0-0 in what Bill Parcells use to call "The Tournament".

I personally think our 1st opponent is the Commanders and the Cowboys better be ready because these guys feel like they can beat us.

Yada Yada Yada
Spin Spin Spin
If the Cowboys are healthy
We will Win Win Win

The Skins better be ready because we feel we can beat these guys.

You can throw the 28-27 Detroit game in there too.

But I do agree with you. We struggled vs. the Lions and then against the Eagles. The last one I believe Romo's thumb and lack of focus cost us there.

I think that loss got our attention and we were getting the ship righted and our focus back in Carolina, until TO got hurt. The Commanders game was a fiasco, but also meaningless.

So basically I think it all hinges on TO's health. I think guys like Gurode and TNew, etc will be ready to go. If TO is 100% then I wouldn't have any doubts about next week's game. Right now though, I expect he'll play, but how much and and how effective he'll be is questionable. High ankle sprains aren't a quick thing to comeback from and if he's not close to 100% then we'll have our hands full.

The big difference between this December's "collapse" and last years is that in previous years our defense was getting lit up like the capital christmas tree in December. This year the D has played well but we've struggled to score points against very motivated teams with an ailing offense.I am confident the D will perform even better in the playoffs and the offensive will start playing for real again with all it's pieces and parts.Bring it on!

We're not gonna open just a single can. Jerry's been shopping for his Whoop-*** at Sam's Club! :)

I totally agree...guess it won't be the Skins we play after all...

Wait, What?

All this talk about last years December collapse... yet we were in position to win the Seattle playoff game in Seattle.

We could have been in better position but we were afraid to attack the Loan Officers on the field... but I digress..

remember when we played our hearts out with that conservative play calling last year in seattle. after a true december collapse
