Cowboys will not tender Brock Hoffman

Dumb. He wasn't expensive. Him and Bass basically make your interior line depth solid all year. Something needed with the shakiness at OT.
They weren't paying both Bass and Hoffman to stay and I guess they thought Bass was the better player. I just hope he can play center like Hoffman could.

If you want them to go out and spend big on defense you can't expect them to also spend significant money on the backup OL.

It's not a question of whether you want him here. It's about roster management and they made the decision Bass was the more valuable player to retain.

This is actually interesting. Why not tender him? I wonder if he asked to be allowed to go somewhere he could start. I thought Bass outplayed him last year but Hoffman is the backup Center behind Beebe. I also wonder if this means Nate Thomas will be moving inside as a backup guard which is where I think he fits better.

you can pick one up in the draft or UDFA much cheaper
HUH?????? For starters, this draft is about the defense. No day 3 OL will walk in here better than him. And yes you can get a UDFA that's cheaper, but you get what you pay for and Hoffman is a valuable OL for the Cowboys and is paid like one.

Cowboys taking a risk. Not sure it's worth the gamble. I wouldn't have.
