Big Mike is saying something without saying something. We don't know who the starting 5 O-lineman will be and we don't know who gets the most work at RT. I question how effective an offense can be operating like that. The Cowboys are going to have to put 30 or more points on the board to beat the Jaguars. I'm not sure this piecemeal manufactured O-line will allow that. Jacksonville is ready to play its Super Bowl against the Cowboys on Sunday. I'm not sure the Cowboys are properly prepared to face that.

They've been rotating OL most of the season with Peters at LG, LT and RT as well as Tyler at LT and LG.

I wouldn't say most of the season (Peters just went to RT this past week) but even so, it was for less than 20 snaps and not major shifts. It was mostly peters/tyler or tyler/peters...switching around what i assume to be tyron at LT then RT, peters at LT then LG then RT, and tyler at LT then LG, Zach at RG then RT just seems like a recipe for a bunch of mistakes that won't help Dak much... but again, they know more than me and guess they gotta see it live to make a final decision.

When you are as supremely talented as we are you can do things like this. All we have to do is get off the plane and we win by 30. At least that’s this team’s mindset.
That worked perfectly last week, and we didn't even have to get off the plane to prove it... their gonna screw around and lose this game.

Well Youmans says he said it tongue in cheek. The original tweet didn't say that.

Maybe he was joking. I hope he was.

Count me in the group that feels the less shuffling the better when talking about o-lines.
Hearing public reports like this again makes me wonder about the dynamic duo that is McCheese and Philbin.

Fingers crossed that they don't look like a multi-penalty cluster flock.

Good... get Peters and Tyron and even Tyler some work at RT too.

That better help lessens the chances of having Josh Ball being forced to enter the game.

Tyron injury.

If healthy it's an upgrade at RT.

Tyron is a future HoF type player. He played RT his rookie season and in college.

Steele has been good but he is not Tyron Smith.

- yeh..but how many decades and eons of time was that way ago with Tyron..?

- And at least up until this tragic ACL injury-which an unseen player rolled into the back of his knee.- Steele has been relatively far more
durable as Tyron was...

- One thing that is a good thing is with the few weeks remaining, Tyron has a better chance to get back into game day play mode and conditioning
before the playoffs.

Play our permanent starters in the positions they want to play them - Tyron at LT and Tyler at LG, then have Peters and Ball switch up at RT.

Let Peters take the clear passing snaps and short yardage, while Ball takes the run/pass between the 20s.

People are giving up on Ball way too fast. He had a lot of very good looking run plays. First real snaps he's gotten. Got some garbage time against the Vikes. Steele looked horrible in his first games. Let Ball play it out as we hopefully bring Peters up to more and more snaps.

Thanks for sharing Mike

Jaguars defensive coordinator thinks "we'll be installing some new blitz packages over the next couple days"

So if you was a DC, you wouldn’t have already known that the Cowboys Oline would by reshuffled? Also as for as rotating, that is expected since one of the lineman hasn’t played all year.

The discussion was about Tyron vs Peters at RT.

Full Time RT
Tyron 2011
Peters 2005

Tyron is our guy coming off injury. Stick him back where he belongs. Fill the gap with the short timer and the young guys.

Playing out of position makes Tyron more likely to get injured. Especially because he has to change handedness too. Martin injured his calf switching from RG to RT. All his handedness stayed the same, but now he had to kickslide.

If we play Tyron at RT, then we're still swapping McGovern in and out at LG. Better to keep all the issues at *one* position, then give help there with RBs or TEs.

That is incorrect.

On one hand, this could be a really good thing, giving us great flexibility for the playoffs.

On the other hand, it could lead to a disjointed, confused, cluster.

I was about to ask.....is this good or bad? LOL
