The Bears kept running the football even when the Cowboys had a 20 pt lead. It padded their rushing stats but hurt their chances of winning the game. I think the Cowboys would be happy to trade rushing yards for time off the clock.

They either did not trust their QB or were scared of our defensive line. You don't do that otherwise, no matter how well you are running the ball. You might mix in some runs, but you've got to score quickly if you want to catch up.

The defense didn’t play its best today and we need to improve against the run but Chicago didn’t even try to win in the 4th quarter. They probably rushed for close to hundred yards in the 4th quarter when the game was basically over. Think Quinn was content to let them bleed the clock. However, we need to stop giving teams free series. Fowlers offside and Chauncey roughing the passer (BS) led to 14 points. On a side note, I’m perplexed how they overturned the fumble. Is there an angle that clearly shows he regained control of the football.

We went up 3 scores early and started playing to defend the pass, it opened up the run, against the best running team in the league. And unlike us, they stuck to the run, mostly because they can't pass. Game script was a huge part of this

This defense won't stop every team in a 17 game schedule.

Great teams have squads that bail each other out when one of them is struggling.

It was the offense's turn to be the hero. The defense had been bailing them out all season long.

If you looked at the stat line and didn’t watch the game and saw 240 yards rushing by Chicago, you would’ve thought they scored 49. I doubt the Cowboys have won many if any games giving up that many rushing yards. Our run defense is a real problem.

Has that ever happened with the Cowboys and win by 20 points to boot? That what impresses me. They gave up all those yards yet covered the spready by twice.
Unless I missed it, no one has answered the question.

If anyone does know or hear the answer please post it.

That’s only because the Bears went with the odd strategy when down by 3 scores they Judy continued to run…they chewed up the clock for Dallas. They padded their run stats as far as I’m concerned. But that’s their problem.

They really need an impact DT.

Hankins just got here so I’m not gonna be hard on him but I’m sure 90% sure he ain’t it.

Hankins is impact on our team. Most likely our best interior dline run defender, pushing lesser players down in the rotation.

Fields had 151 yards passing.
Giving up 200 yards on the ground sounds bad until you realize that was their entire offense and they were running to stay in the game and not ice the game.

The Bears have the best running game in the NFL, but they have to do better against the run if they want to go deep in the playoffs.

Better tighten that up. Green Bay is going to make them look like fools.
