Cowboys working on pretty substantive trades

Yeah based on most past results, the Joneses aren't the best at getting good trades.
I'm not optimistic on whatever their dealings may be.
Well, there is some truth to draft picks having more value as the draft approaches or during the draft. Teams see some player who fell or have someone they really want and so they are more willing to make a trade.

Still, the kinds of trades we make, I wouldn't expect more than another Cooks or Gilmore and it might be closer to a Tavon Austin or Jihad Ward.

A. I will believe this when it happens…
B. When was the last “substantive trade” the Cowboys made that resulted in a major upgrade in performance? Cooper trade in 2018?

I 100% believe this is the Jones PR machine at work.

These days when Jerry Jones starts using the “T” word, they need to keep him off the phone. I guarantee there are 31 GMs who can’t wait to talk trade with Granpa Jerry.
Throw "substantive trade" in there with "all in" and "selectively aggressive" and we have a bunch of catchphrases full of sound and fury signifying nothing.

Jerry likes to predict miracles but creates mishaps, instead.
A miracle would be nice for a change! We're due for one. :flagwave:
