Yes he has dropped quite a few. But he certainly is explosive. I still like him and certainly an upgrade over Beasley.

Now to get Blake Jarwin in on the action and this passing offense will be even more deadly.
I don't know if he meant drops or penalties calling back plays.

I mean he wasn't a great route runner but he never was and that's not his skillset. The route-running thing was a problem b/c the coaching staff sucks.
Had he been a better route runner, he would have been better at getting open once he started losing his speed. You can only get so many jump balls in a game.

Yea but there are a dozen ways to get a guy the football when he isn't a great route runner. The fact that they didn't give him a bubble screen and a drag route every game was stupid.

And he's not a guy who needs much separation. He wasn't getting less separation than Witten currently is lol.

I thought he was more of a problem because he ran lousy routes.

I though it was more of a Linehan thing which is why we moved on to Kellen. Seems odd three receivers are having career years under Kellen all at the same time. A 2nd year player, a receiver having his best season in 4 years even playing with one of the greatest QB's all time, and of course Cooper and that situation.

All the receivers prior complaining about the routes combinations.

Seems to add up

I never heard Dez complain about the routes. But I agree that Moore is calling better plays than his predecessor. I still think Dez didn't have much more than the jump ball in his arsenal. Apparently the rest of the league is unimpressed as well.

The difference is Witten knows how to get in front of the ball and box the defender out. I wouldn't be opposed to taking Dez back as a specialist, on a team friendly deal.

LOL at throwing Austin in there. He's provided almost NO impact to this team. When you add him in, the quarter doesn't look all that great anymore. ;) The triplet with a solid, young TE is a better foursome.

It obvious you are clueless on the comparison and on anything Austin has done by assuming he hadn't had an impact in the offense, when in fact he has had more than not an impact.

Maybe you are watching a different football team every Sunday that you believe is the cowboys but actually isnt.

Remember the cowboys have a star on the helmet.

If you knew anything about those old rams teams youd see that Hakim and proehl are actually great comparisons when it comes to austin.

Both got slot work, gadget work and return work.

Do your research. Not only about that, but about what Austin has done this season, since you believe he has done nothing.

Well except the coach that folks were talking about replacing Garrett with. Seems he saw something in Dez. The Ravens who have vastly turned things around had seen something in Dez. Both playoff contenders which at least means to some degree they know what they are doing.

People said he would sign with noone which proved to be quite wrong. Dez already stated he would reach out in two weeks which is now. Don't know why you are assuming no one wants Dez because that watch has just begun. Don't know why he would sign with a team when he specifically stated a timetable he would be available, and you conclude no one wants him.

Not many thought Cooper was going to be what he is now either as I remember. Even some past coaches who spoke out on giving up the 1st.

There is a reason Head Coaches and GM's get cycled through so much as well let's keep in mind.

The real question, can we keep them together? Wonder how much it would take to resign Cobb? I guess you could start with Bealey's money.

This offense could resemble one of the best ever if we could get Jarwin more involved.

Best trio that I can remember in Dallas
Add in Zeke and the oline ......best setup you could ever ask for
And Dak is taking advantage of it so far, as he should

F the stats! I know that I have not seen a single game this season where he has made a difference. He's either "gimpy" so not playing, or simply has little to no impact as a returner. Hec, he may have NEGATIVE total yards as a returner.

So not even going to waste my time looking up his Cowboy stats this season. Can't be more than 10 catches, half of those likely behind the LOS (basically runs), and does he even have 100 total yards? I doubt it.

So, yes, he has done "next" to nothing, in my eyes, I can't believe we'd miss him at all if he was released today. I say build for the future. Release him, find a young WR or potential returner off the Cowboys or another team's practice squad, and develop them.

No on the quartet, because adding in Austin's "impact" all season to me is plain silly.

Sort of agree, but you're criticism and comparison to Cobb is off.

Dez had to be THE man. He was- until he wasn't.

Cobb wasexpected to do what he's done of late.

Yes he has his poor moments w/drops, but been robbed of other big plays. And he's 3rd in the pecking order vs 1, with nobody else to help as Dez was. Dez was paid handsomely for being a stud WR, and he was.

Then overnight, he lost it. Drops and poor routes, nagging injuries, etc.
