All the blame Dak's getting for the Sunday night game, some he deserves, but as you can see he had company, including KM. Just me but the Dak Prescott we saw Sunday didn't trust his WRs or plays from KM.
But....as mentioned before, this is where he has to step up and close the gap. Know your WRs strength and weaknesses. If KM calls a play to one of your receiver's weaknesses, take ownership and change it to a better play rather than running it anyway because that's what was called.

I don't know if Dak has trust and his wide receivers are not, but Dak has a voice. Most star/big money athlete do. Things soured with Cooper and he was traded, don't think that happens if Dak was opposed to it. In the draft Tolbert was his guy, Tolbert was drafted. Dak supposedly had chemistry with Houston, Houston was active.

Everyone knew the health status of Gallup and Washington. If Dak was unhappy with his wide-outs why not force the issue and get your GM to make a move. What we heard was Dak wanted input and the organization was going to listen to him. As far as play calling shouldn't Dak have a word in that also.

Hard to believe that a star quarterback has no input in play calls, hell why not change the play or call your own play, go off script, call the play you think will work, he's the franchise quarterback. I'm not going to make any excuses for him or Kellen they were horrible. We had horrible management of personnel, horrible game planning and horrible execution. Damn, this is such a bad place to be after 1 week.

Houston is a rookie free agent. The chemistry was practiced but what happen when it was tested in a live game?

As for Dak taking more ownership, to be honest, I didn't think about it until I read a detailed article by Bob Sturm.

Yep, maybe Dak should of had a couple of quarter's of pre-season games to foster/solidify the chemistry .....rather than using Game1 of the regular season to formulate what looked like a 'meet and greet'.

Mahomes throws the ball. Brady throws the ball. Allen throws the ball. Dak should throw the ball. The receivers were open. His movement within the pocket, is part of his problem. Throw the ball!

If they don’t catch it, get in their ears. If your OC is calling dumb plays, audible. Dak's a nice guy and a good locker room presence, but maybe he is more suited for management. He gives me Danny White vibes.

Damn if Dak has to do all of this what do we need a OC or a head coach for? He’s doing everything but catching the ball. The difference between those guys you listed and Dak is they all have offensive masterminds….and he has Kellen Moore.

So pull an Aaron Rodgers! Do your thing! It is his job to throw throw the ball, audible and get on the receivers. If he can't do that, he needs to go. All QB's do those things from time to time.

Like the Christian Watson moment for Rodgers......after that unbelievable drop in the first, he didnt go back to him until the game was over with 3mins left.

I keep saying it, but CD to the Packers is a win/win/win.....we wont get the best out of Lamb, if Dak's tendency was to over throw in front it may be a different story.

Exactly but to be honest, I wonder if they had some of the same issues during practice/training camp? I mean he working with three new starting receivers, so guessing they did. But did they put in the extra time after practice working on chemistry? Maybe they did but from the way they played Sunday, I'm not sure.

That shouldn’t be an excuse. And I’m not solely blaming him but he needs some help.
No excuse, just reality. He's going to face the opponents best corner and defenses will scheme him out with help from the safeties. It makes sense his average separation will suffer for that. Even so, his average separation was 2.11 yards. That's 6 feet and change. That's NFL open.

Good point....masking the problems they were having, dont highlight it in pre-season games and hope it'll be 'alright on the the night'.

That does sound extremely feasible.

Notice as some have mentioned there were throws behind receivers or high, that's missing chemistry.

Exactly and my guess is after the game started, he quickly learned his first, second or third progression read wasn't getting open and that his confidence went downhill. He started forcing the issue a bit.

Yep and we get that disconnect between OC/HC and Dak, where we're unable (for who ever's fault) to go to something that Dak's more comfortable with....as you say trying to force it is a recipe for Dak's disaster.

Go to a 12 man personnel in a hope to bring down the Safeties and tie up the LB's, but we come back to Dak and whether this would work as it would mean he'd need to be confident enough to take advantage and go long.

But not going back to him was arrogant and dumb. While on the field of play, let that go. Aaron knows better; maybe that is why he will never win another championship.

He ain’t Aaron Rodgers lol. There’s only one Aaron Rodgers. I never see Mahomes or Josh Allen do it. That’s not required to be a quarterback. You think if you audible you can make up for a bad playcall or playbook? Come on now lol…
