At one point in 2018 they carried 7 WRs on the roster. Most seasons it's 6 or 5.

As I've said before, I would lean more towards a pass catching RB in the draft that can play snaps in the slots over a slot-only WR or mid/late round outside WR.

Amari Cooper 6-1, 211, 4.36
Michael Gallup 6-1, 205, 4.45/4.5
Randall Cobb 5-10, 191, 4.46
Tavon Austin 5-8, 174, 4.34
Cedrick Wilson 6-2, 197
Noah Brown 6-2, 222, 4.56
Devin Smith 6-0, 196, 4.43, 2nd round Jets 2015
Allen Hurns 6-1, 198, 4.55 (contract is NOT guaranteed)
Lance Lenoir 6-0, 199
Reggie Davis 6-0, 170, 4.31

There is both size, and speed in this group!

Not sure who Reggie Davis is but he is fast..

Yeah, a RB who can run some routes out the slot would add another dimension, plus all the slots are on 1yr deals. They looked at Tony Pollard who fits this mold.

I really like the group of WR’s this team has collected. I’m pretty high on Wilson and I think he will be one of the 5-6 that makes the team.

I like him as well. Too bad he got hurt early in TC. The team liked him because of his versatility, he was not only a receiver but the punt and kickoff returner at Boise.

I would like for the Cowboys to get someone who can be a full time lead RB if Zeke goes down or holds out. I’m taking about a quality back. Not a Rod Smith/ Alfred Morris level player. Duke Johnson or better good.

"a pass catching RB"
Pass catching fullback in Olawale. 6-1 240. That'll block some blitzing LBs. Played TE and WR in college too.

The new and improved Richie Anderson.

If we draft a RB, I want a real RB, not a receiving complement to Zeke.

Reggie Davis to PS.
Bye, Lance, Noah. I think Noah can still make the PS.

Hard to see Hurns sticking unless numbers get depleted. Particularly with Cobb, Witten and other receiving options at TE as possession receivers. Olawale too.

Speed looks optimistic on Cooper. Combine says 4.42.

Assuming the top 3 are healthy, the WRs will be a team strength on most Sundays.

Loud and clear X, Ive been saying this even before Dunflop
Would love to have a Cohen type of RB 2, but we just don't get it, we want to make the RB2 a Zeke replacement,, like Rod Smith,, that's never going to be the answer.
This team needs a pass catching RB, that can accentuate Daks short game, that can come in and spell Zeke when he needs to breath.
Why is this so hard for this FO to understand?
Has Duke Johnson signed yet?

This group of WR's is why I don't want them to take a WR in the draft. Use it for that quality back up RB, that can also give you more than a few series or a play here or there. But there is plenty of competition at WR. I am sure there will be some UDFA for camp bodies, but I feel they are set at WR.

But t is what this team does at times, and will take that WR instead and pass on another player, such as a DT or S or that RB.

DT / S with the 1st 2 picks, in either order. RB, LB, OT, DB or LB with the last pick.
Yes we need LB's still, as depth. There are only 6 on the roster, 7 if you count the LB/S hybrid. One roster has him as a S another as a LB.
I guess they can still go DE in there somewhere as well as it is also what they do.

This should be a mostly Defensive draft. Unless a OG or OT falls in there laps.
