Henry '08 #'s PDef 19 (#8T in NFL) Int's 6 (#4T in NFL) in 13 games
Newman '08 #'s PDef 17 (#10T in NFL) Int's 4 (#6T in NFL) in 13 games

Henry/Newman '08 #'s for PDef by CB's are #4T in NFL with Cin & Den @ 36 (NE/Pit 37 - SD 39 - Ari/Buf 41) ..... Henry/Newman only played in 13 games.

Henry/Newman '08 #'s for Int's by CB's are #2T in NFL with Rolle/Hood, Ari @ 10 (Cromartie-10/Jammer-1 = 11) ..... Henry/Newman only played in 13 games.

For those that are thinking about DHall, here's his #'s PDef 21 Int's 5 in 16 games starting 15.

Did I mention that they both only played in 13 games! Henry only starting in 10 and Newman only starting in 11!

Maybe CB isn't the most pressing need now?

look at Newman/Henry/Reeves and I'm sure you'll understand.

I in no way support going after DHall at all or paying a bunch of cash for Samuel.

But we definitely do need another CB. I'd prefer to go after one in the draft.

The fact that we only got 21 games out of a possible 32 from our two top CB's is an indication that we need someone who can stay on the field. While that has not traditionally been an issue with Newman it has been with Henry and both are getting older. Reeves has shown that he is not the man to fill in for them when they have to sit out and we still have the #3 CB to talk about. Yes, we most definitely need another top notch CB and not some JAG like Reeves. BTW I'm not endorsing D Hall, but I am definitely on the Get A Corner bandwagon.

Hall gave up a lot of TDs the last two years.

He is known as CATFISH in the Atlanta locker room (all mouth and no brains).

And he would be expensive.

CB is not our pressing need right now. Safety is the problem i remember a countless amount of times when our CB were in good position but could never get the help they needed from the safety. Hamlin fixed our need at FS i dreaded those years when we had no FS. but we really do need another SS to complement roy on passing downs or look in a new direction. I am not trying to bash roy he is a good player that does not excel in passing situations. I would rather trade for a SS than a CB and find corners in the draft to give us depth.

We need 2 CB's. One to replace Reeves. One to upgrade the position overall as we have nothing behind Reeves.
