Though it appears "close" finally means close, and the NFL is nearing a deal with its players, the Cowboys have not finalized their training camp plans.

The Cowboys have a year left on their contract with San Antonio. They tentatively have scheduled July 29 as the date they would report to camp, which would be held at the Alamodome. However, the lockout could prompt the team to move camp to their Valley Ranch training facility as well as Cowboys Stadium. Several teams already have decided not to leave town for training camp this year.

If the Cowboys have camp in Irving/Arlington, I wonder if fans will be allowed in as usual.

According to local media reports, Jerry has told the Alamodome people that the Cowboys will be training here, even if its an abbreviated stay, 10 days to 2 weeks. He doesn't want to give up the great fan turnout that San Antonio brings. All four major TV news stations have reported this.
