As stated a few times, it has been one of those years where injuries just piled up but we were fairly healthy the last 2-3 years. Looking back at the final four playoff teams over the years, more times than not, they avoided the injury bug to major players.

Didn't realize Detroit had all those defensive guys on IR.
Yeah, same here.
And they are still winning. Goes to show what actual true depth is and / or coaching and real schemes is.

Kind of like when MM was at GB and they had a slew of injuries like Detroit, and still won. I think the year they won the SB. Can't remember for sure.
Maybe they made it to the NFCCG that year a few years after they won the SB.

Nope, GB won the Super Bowl with half their team on IR. I guess Rodgers made up for the rest of the team! LOL

If you saw the owner say ALL IN and don't make moves to make this team better, I'd stay out as long as I could as well. Some of these players I guarantee if we were doing better, they'd push to get back on the field.
I hardly feel that compares to pitching quarters...tax write off or not?

I guess the injury excuse is only applicable in Dallas. Detroit seems to be handling theirs much better.

One team blames all their problems on injuries while the other just keeps chugging along
True.
However, the other day the announcers were blaming SF woes on the injuries. As if no other team had any.

The Cowboys also entered the year as one of the older teams in the league. DLaw, Parsons, Cooks, all have history of missing some time. Even Dak only has one full season under his belt since 2020. No one could have realistically predicted Bland or Ferg would have missed this much time, but overall this team carried some injury risk to it and while depth in the NFL will never be perfect more should have been done to round out the bottom of the roster this offseason.

And, when they lost Hutchinson, they immediately traded for a very good DE (Was it Carolina?)

What's notable regarding the seven teams listed above is that with the exception of the Texans with an 8-5 record, all of the other teams have losing records. Hard to win when you lose starters over the course of multiple games.

Disagree.

Our Cowboys had the same amount of starters injured when we lost that playoff loss shootout to the Packers back in 2016 when Dak and Zeke were rookies. Difference is them Packers coaches were better and had even their backup players playing better than we had ours. Certainly, having Aaron Rodgers as their QB helped, but rookie Dak outplayed him slightly during that playoff loss.

Ever notice no one on the chiefs ever get hurt? Losing Pacheco this season is the only injury I can remember to anyone on their roster that matters in like the last 5 years.

Interesting that the only one with a winning record has had their starting Qb not miss a game(the first tweet)
