Chances Brown does not make the final cut? I think they will IR Gifford and then bring him back on the active 46.

QB - 2 Prescott, Rush
RB - 4 Pollard, Morris, Jackson, Olawale (Elliott stays on DNR, Chunn to IR)
WR - 6 Cooper, Gallup, Cobb, Austin, C. Wilson, D. Smith
TE - 3 Witten, Jarwin, Schultz
OT - 3 T. Smith, L. Collins, Fleming
OG - 4 Martin, C. Williams, Su'a-Filo, McGovern (to IR after cuts; replaced by Adam Redmond)
C - 2 Frederick, Looney
P - 1 Redfern
K - 1 Maher
LS - 1 Ladouceur
DE - 6 Lawrence, Crawford, Charlton, Armstrong, Hyder, Jackson
DT - 5 Woods, M. Collins, Christian Covington, Hill, Wise
OLB - 3 Vander Esch, Lee, Gifford (to IR after cuts, replaced by March)
MLB - 2 J. Smith, J. Thomas
FS - 2 Woods, D. Wilson
SS - 2 Heath, Frazier
CB - 6 B. Jones, A. Brown, Awuzie, Lewis, Olumba, Goodwin

Toughest places were at LB, but we can go lean there since Thomas can play anywhere and save a spot. TE may be a case for four if Schultz is still hurt.

DL was hard, very hard. But I forced Wise on it.

I like your roster choice except for 2, possibly 3. Check my changes in red.

Why would you replace Jones with Redfern at the Punter position? Jones has been one of the best punters in the league for several years lately.

Posters might be stunned I'm willing to cut Trysten Hill, but I honestly don't think he's that good. Give me the guys who have showed up this preseason instead and are ready to contribute right now, not several years down the road, regardless of where they are drafted or not drafted at all.

It is just a gut feeling. Dallas may want to trim some payroll.

I'd rather McGovern be replaced by a real player instead of a JAG like Redmond just to keep 9 OLs. Especially since we are fine already on the interior with Looney/Su'a-Filo.

My rule is that 8's Enough on the O-Line. DL is where you always want to go long. OL starters play the whole game, DL players are rotated.

I have no doubt that Wise wouldn’t make it past waivers. With both Collins and Covington in the last year of their deals, keep Wise and cut Crawford and take the cap hit.

Crawford offers you flex positioning but at a high cost. Time to turn the page.

- zeke's absence changes situation with maybe the need for an RB per injury - either morris or chunn cut once he returns , but how long will that be ?
- mike Jackson was a regarded CB prospect before a down sr. year at the U, and currently hurt, team favors keeping on their draft picks bit longer. could he IR'ed ?
- Olumba is feisty scrapper but he's also too athletically limited in coverage, thus the hands/flag issues

- I get the vibe that taco traded or cut cuz of suspected bad blood behind scenes .
- Goodwin is very valued cuz of special teams, Frazier also a top SP player
- 7th LB spot will come down to march vs hall, Covington seems injury prone

- Jelks vs RB or LB situation will bear a look. He's really only guy i'm worried about losing in final cut. Still in a boot, will he be IR'ed ?
- team could decide to keep just 5 WRs, but Wilson handles punts and a key backup at the slot. is he too slow for outside? Smith a good gunner on SP. Should coop or gally get dinged, what
backup reserve best qualifies for the outside flank ? that would be Devin Smith.

- i'm still concerned about DT depth. Hill just looks like won't give us anything this year (expect to be inactive much of '19 and Crawford is a small nickel DT (if he has to start vs Maliek injury again?)
hyder also more a nickel DT, it'll becomes down to promising vet Covington and tyrone as depth.

I agree LB (along with DL, DB and WR) .. I’ve already come to a conclusion that with as fragile sa Lee is , we cannot afford to get thin at LB, … and even Thomas missed several games in ’18.
I’m waiting to see decision on Gifford. Looks the part, but ankle injury crippled his development and rep time and how long recovery wth/high ankle sprain? (which tends to linger)
' When ' Lee eventually gets injured, who is behind Thomas ? Griffin ? …and there’s nothing at all afterwards. And team seems to favor to 7 LBs for depth/special teams

- I guess you’re thinking cap dollars when it comes to chris jones vs Redfern, .. something wrong physically with jones for team to think he’s in decline and a concern. But otherwise his body of work in career been consistent and clutch.

I get that, but honestly, you don't think that if Lee got hurt a few weeks into the season that we could not find anyone better than Justin March?

Our LBers were getting abused by the Bucs reserve backs and TEs last night.

I know I would not let the roster game convince me I had to get rid of another better player elsewhere on the roster just because I simply had to have that extra LB as insurance.

That is what your pro personnel department is for. Keeping working, have a short list for that kind of thing.

I do think we could do better than March., .. but from I understand, March stands out best as a special teams contributor, and they seemed to favor those type players to be able to
give the special teams unit as much help as possible. March would be at the bottom of the depth chart at LB with me.

... if we can get a suitable better special teams player than March, he should be gone.
dude still struggles in coverage - and he still gets stuck to blockers vs run.
if he's in space and unblocked on a blitz. he fairs far better.
I would be puzzled and upset if we keep March over Justin Phillips. stay tuned.

I keep hearing how Cowboys like Covington, because they like his size and mobility, but he's also does not offer much experience as a LB (being converted from QB to LB in college) and he continues to miss games per injury. Wiped out last year per staph infection and virtually wiped out again because of a shoulder/neck stinger.

in a surprise, I don't think Christian Covington makes the final 53 and will be waived.

Another surprise COULD BE Rickey Walker is kept on the Practice Squad. We gonna have 3 surprise cut I think...one of them could be Sean Lee actually. I wouldn't be shocked one bit. I can see 2 trades as well.
