And what means bottom out ?

lose 1 more game ? lose 4 more games ? lose TO, Barber, Williams and Witten to season ending injuries ? or have 3 losing seasons in a row ?

I hate those comments because they have no sense at all. Everybody can make those statements you don't need to be a football guru. My grandma could have said that. What do you take from it excpect of false hope ? Will you start trying to get to the bottom in hope to be better after it ?

What Dallas needs is a plan and players who buying in it. Right now everybody looks clueless.

But on what i do agree is that we have alot of talent. That's what hurts the most when we lose like this.

Its happened more than once in sports... maybe you have never seen it but IT DOES HAPPEN. A team crash so hard and hit bottom that if given time they come out of it for the better.

In 2004, the Yankees were beating on Boston, it was 3-0 in ALCS. The Yankees had won game 3 by a score of 19-8(Boston had hit bottom). They came out with life and had nothing to lose and played loose and beat the heck out of the Yankees 4 straight.

Last year Boston was down 3-1, came back to 4-3 and then go on to win WS.

So say you have never seen it but dont say it doesnt exist. IT DOES!

The Cowboys are the Yankees of Football, alot of talent with no superbowl titles lately to show for it. Yankees did win a World Series but it was a while ago.

Yeah they won only one WS .
Gotta love the uninformed.
Yankees played in 6 World Series from 1996-2003 and won 4 of them.

It could be that if the Cowboys can fight thru this sorry stretch without imploding on themselves the whole thing might have a galvanizing effect on the team.

See you did get me wrong. I know it happens. But that it maybe happens for you you can't wait for it. YOu just can't rely on it as a player if you want to archive something.

This team needs hope - and of course it starts with sentences like the one from cowher. But right now to me it seems more like everybody is looking at something to happen instead of making it happen on his own.

Now i can tell you everybody is hopeing for Romo to come back and rescue the season. On Tuesday it was the Williams signing.

This is just the wrong mentallity. This is searching for someone to take responsibility instead of taking responsibility on your own. This is what leaders do: take responsibility. And this team laks leaders - on both sides: players and coaches.

Right now i would love to see a conbtroversy. Someone who just will stand up and talk some feelings with now fear of distracting the team. This team is in free fall right now. A distraction could be a last chance.

Ok so some got lost in "post" translation. :D

Your post is a good post.

I agree we need to make it happen as a team. ROMO WILL NOT BE A SAVIOR.
He has to be part of the answer.

Everyone is nonchalant about things. THAT has to change.

Why in any situation would a guy like bill cowher want to be involved with Jerry Jones.

This organization caught a break that brought us Bill Parcells.

Jerry will never concede power again and we will never see a disciplanarian again.

It will always be about hiring coaches who cater to the players, like our defense is catered to.

Its just going to take a full offseason to get this organization out of this rut.

The most dissapointing thing to me is this the final season at texas stadium and the ravens game will be the last game ever at the stadium.

I think Cowher could be interested for a 'number' of reasons.

Millions actually.

Jerry Jones would make Cowher the league's highest-paid coach if it meant getting better results.

And Cowher, like anyone, can see that this roster does have talent. Talent not being properly utilized by an overmatched coaching staff.

And if signing Cowher would chase off the Garrett clan? So be it. It's not like the boy genius is doing a good job recently either.

I agree: now Cowher, he won't want any part of JJ. What about Spagnolo of the Gspots? Any chance?

If there is going to be a season to salvage, it has to happen now...Jerry has to make a move and I believe that does mean a coaching change.

This has been a pattern that several kool aid drinkers weren't paying attention to, even in the wins...This is not a team built to win when it counts...It's playing soft and that isn't going to change...That's something that fans have to accept, it's not going to change with the current lot...Wouldn't change if a great trade was made for a stud LB or DE...There is absolutely no cohesion

The parts are solid, some even excellent, but the team doesn't play together. No one can fix that, make the team play as a team not just a bunch of guys, aside from the coaches.

Offense has got its problems, but with Romo in the game, they can score 24-31 points easily.

The problem is on defense and special teams. Wade has control of those parts- Bruce Read and Brian Stewart. Those two should be gone tomorrow.

Let Wade run out the string and then let JG or whoever start fresh next season.

I disagree with Bill Cowher. This team has had plenty of opportunity to rally around something:

Losing to the Commanders

Losing to the Cardinals

The media jumping all over Pacman Jones

Develop a mentality to hold down the ship while their QB is injured

People need to stop saying this team has too much talent. It is not all about talent and what you look like on paper. If this was the case, then you need to fire Wade and Garrett right now.

Again, Parcells, the very definintion of a disciplinarian couldn't win with these guys, what makes you think Wade Phillips can.

We need to get Ray Lewis or someone like him in this lockerroom, it is devoid of leadership and heart.

If this team even thought about rallying around a man with babysitters then we know all we need to know about this team.

I think that has to be all Cowboys fan's wish right now. It's certainly not out of the realm of possibility. No one thought the Rams would win a game two weeks ago, and people are talking about them making the playoffs after knocking down two NFC East teams. The NFC East was the bully of the NFL two weeks ago...now look.

Things change in a matter of a few weeks in the NFL. We can get to where we should be, but it's going to take a cataclysm of sorts to get us there. We're not a good football team right now.

Of course, the Rams made a DRAMATIC change by firing their head coach.

Will it take the Cowboys doing the same before they right the ship?

Whatever it takes, I'm all for it. I'm not arrogant enough to think that I know what it is....but if it's getting rid of Wade...then Peacy McSeeya coach phillips.

I agree. I have never been a big Cowher fan... BUT with this talent. He could do well.

IF he came in he would tell Jerry to back the "beep" off and if Jerry was smart he would say.... You got it... whatever you want.

And some coaches won't care to coach certain talent we have on this team.
That's why you get the happy to just have a job Phillips types.
