i think one of these 2 need to get a call this week. wade is very good DC. but he does nothing for leadership. nor does garrett, IMO thats whats needed in dallas. somebody to get in peoples faces. if dallas can find that they'll be in the superbowl this yr. dallas is basically top 5 in both def and off, but their stupid penalties at wrong times and a bad special teams unit have cost them every game this yr.

if jerry doesnt grow some **** and give wade the option to be demoted to DC or get the axe and hire a guy like gruden or cowher this season is over.

Gruden isn't going to coach here or anywhere. He recently signed a long and expensive contract with ESPN. Don't want him here anyway.

I don't get why these guys would rather be announcers/commentators when they can be making big money as coaches. So much talent wasted.

There was a clause in Grudens ESPN contract that he couldnt sign a head coaching job for a certain period of time.

Doubt Cowher takes the job as he is said to want control over personnel and the like (not happening with Jerry). If you get Gruden, you better hope he wins the SuperBowl within a 3 to 4 year window because his act gets old quick and he starts to grate on players (used to live in Tampa).

I don't get why we keep recycling same head coaches in NFL.

It is not about getting in their faces it is about demanding respec from the players. Tony Dungy was not a big yeller but he commanded and got respect from the players. In two places Tampa and Indy. Tampa was a complete and utter of a joke franchise for well over 30 years until he went in and cleaned it up.

So what we need is a coach that demands and gets the respect of the players a leader. I care less if he is a yeller or not I want a guy that has the players respect.

cowher and gruden demand and get the respect they just do it by yelling. the cowboys are a spoiled franchise. they need a reality check

If people don't want a recycled guy then who are we going to get? There's no one in our organization i'd feel confident in as our HC.

I'd rather go with an up and coming Asst Coach

First what you think doesn't really matter. The organization makes the decisions.

Second, hiring a new HC at this point ends the season immediately.

Cowher would never coach for Jerry and I don't want him anyway. I would love to give Gruden a shot.

I guarantee you if Jerry wanted Gruden he'd be in Dallas.

Dallas is not going to change coaches in the middle of the season...
