Cowherd says Jerry talking again

I think I like Cowherd better than most here.....definitely like him more than Stephen A or Skip

I am amazed that people come on here post stuff like this. They are surprised that some on air media jock says something about our team. These guys just grab a handful of poooo and throw it against the wall and they see what sticks. That's all they do. I stopped paying attention years ago and just smile to myself when our members are "shocked" someone blasted something on bspn.
 
You couldn't pay me to watch Cowturd, SassS or Skip Clueless.

pointing out an absurdity IS similar to getting under a person’s skin, I guess, although it’s not a flaw or mistake or reason to feel apologetic. I don’t feel stressed at all because I know I’m right. Just makes me roll my eyes and chuckle.

And you’re “always” calling me out when I make a simple observation. I already told you—I DON’T watch, but sometimes you catch stuff clicking around. I’m less annoyed about Cowturd than I am by people overreacting over a simple opinion.
 
These sports talk show hosts like Cowerd, Smith and Bayless and all of the others are coached just like the old radio morning guys and the one word that is driven into their minds is "compelling" because compelling gets ratings.

They're all stealing from the originator of this format, Joe Pine, he was the first to do this in TV and he went out of his way to irritate the majority of the people watching. My parents despised him, when he was on that was the only time my Mom ever cussed and he was on every week. I was young so I was puzzled, they don't like him, why do we have to watch him? Buttons, it's all about hitting those buttons.

All of these people have producers, just like Imus, Stern, The Greaseman and shock jocks had with the order to keep it compelling and the ratings high. They must evoke response, doesn't matter whether that's negative or positive but they have to keep them coming back for more. And what they really feel and think doesn't matter.

Remember when Marshall Faulk was on NFLN and fans couldn't figure out his attitude against the Cowboys and Romo in particular. That was the part he was assigned and they couldn't give that to Warner, being an ex QB or Irvin, a homer or Mariucci, a former HC. He even had to play that "just wait" card if Romo had a good game, that was his assignment.

These people are all performers, I just don't like to watch them perform because I don't think they're very good.

Remember a few weeks back when Bayless got weight conscious about McCarthy and the chick on that show took exception with that? Think that was spontaneous or designed to get some water cooler talk and a female getting after a body shamer on a male driven sports show?

I counted them up yesterday, I suspended my morning shows 7 times over the course of my time in radio and not once was that not planned. I even had the news people at a TV station taking up for them and giving us all that free promo work.

I agree wholeheartedly! I merely pointed out an absurdity that made me chuckle while I was clicking around, and I got a whole chorus of overreacting on what they THOUGHT was an overreaction! The irony!

Jerry has every right to talk. It is his team. If he wants to be the face of mediocrity and lower expectations by all means have at it.
