Cox back with the Eagles

That was expected.
Notice it's just a 1 year deal. And its minimal vested vet for one that long in the league
That's rental until the inevitable.
The guy is clearly on decline and even average OGs can handle him nowadays but because of his past name on back of his jersey, some
wanted us to sign him up immediately.

maybe declining but he was wrecking our guys

What I am glad to see is guys like him and Lawrence staying where they want to be and working out the money.

The cap problem is the result of the restructures that benefitted each side at the time, so this becoming more commonplace rather than a straight cut is nice to see.

Lawrence wasn’t cut and on the market for a few days. We just restructure his contract. Cox was on the market.
A cut wasn't necessary. They just inked a new deal. It wasn't a restructure. It added years to his current deal and cut his pay drastically. You're arguing semantics. It's the same thing.

I want to see the cap implications on this. I am not sure it’s as Eagles friendly as people believe.

Hope that means they won't draft Jordan Davis.

I think they still draft Davis. The deal with Cox is one year. He is probably gone next year. I am convinced the only way they do not draft Davis is if he goes before they have a chance to take him. Be prepared for them to take an OG too. Having 3 firsts is really a nice thing.
