Crabtree agrees to deal with 49ers

I still got it.

I wonder how much he is going to be able to help them this year.

The 49ers failed.

They gave him the money and the ability to void his contract if he thinks he can get more money? Man, these guys are STUPID! They just put future draft picks in the driver seat. :banghead:

Yo Singletary, make him pay.

It should be interesting to see how his new teammates react to him.

I doubt they will be too happy, considering they've been through training camp, preseason and 4 weeks of the regular season and were doing just fine without him and his big, new contract.

I have not seen in $ numbers so I wonder if he got what he wanted or if the 49ers got what they wanted and in doing so compromised on the void part of his contract.

From the rumor I read at NFL.com, I think it was, he signed for a lot less than what they were offering at camp time and the only way he gets to void the 6th year of the deal, as I understand it, is if he meets certain achievements in 2 of the first 4 years of the deal.

Well you can pretty much assure yourself he won't meet those numbers in this season. So he'll have to do it in 2 of the next 3. Depending on what they are that could be very difficult.

considering he's just now getting his first look at the playbook i would say not much, unless they go full ****** and design plays on the fly just for him this season kinda like some of the stupid **** we did last season to get MeO the ball

Tell you one thing, he better get a clue. Mike don't take no rift. Vernon Davis is a new man right about now after being embarrassed by Singletary. I bet Mike can't wait to get his hands on Crabtree.

Why would you want him? He's going to be the new Antonio Bryant, have to spend two years salvaging his reputation because he is not Randy Moss talented, and ironically the Niners gave up on Bryant.

I knew all that talk of waiting till next year to re-enter the draft was a bunch of bs.

I havent seen the numbers, but I bet the offer was less than what he could have signed for back in camp. The dude lost his balls, got scared, and took whatever the 49ers were offering.

:laugh2:
