Is this guy a olb in the NFL or can he make Woodson like transition to SS? Excellent in coverage great tackler. Is he worth a 2nd round pick?

I would move him to SS. He can be a Kam Chancellor like Safety for us. Of course worth the 2nd but he will prob go late 1st or someone will trade up to take him at the top of the 2nd.

sounds like an interesting guy at SS

With his long limbs, tapered frame and impressive fluidity, Cravens looks the part of a traditional NFL strong safety. He's at his best attacking the run, showing excellent recognition and terrific closing speed on outside runs to slice past pulling linemen and lasso ball carriers for big losses.

Cravens shows little regard for his own welfare, taking out the knees of oncoming blockers when necessary to create a pile and allow other Trojans' defenders to get the credit.

His awareness shows up in pass defense, as Cravens displays impressive route recognition, easing up and accelerating with would-be pass-catchers and showing natural hands for the interception when passers dare test him.

I need to see his times at the combine, but I think he probably could play SS. I do think he goes late 1st.

Yes seen Cravens play quite a bit at USC and he would be a really good fit for this Marinelli scheme as a LB, or SS and if he could play SS you then move Jones to FS and they would still have to draft DBs chances are Carr, and Claiborne won't be back next season.

Like that thinking but i would keep Claiborne add a mid level free agent and draft one.

I agree it seems that Claiborne wants to stick around and his play has elevated this season when healthy would definitely draft a DB and sign one free agent as you mentioned.

Cravens started out at safety for USC. They moved him to linebacker to get him closer to the L.O.S. and make more plays. He played at USC basically the way Kam plays for the Hawks.

He was also quite a WR in high school. He is extremely athletic. Unlike former Trojan safety Taylor Mays, Sua is fluid, more agile. He's much quicker than another Trojan safety T.J. McDonald, who has played pretty solid for the Rams.

Haven't seen Cash but Craven has a passion for tackling that is needed on this team desperately IMO.

Cash does it all. Tremendous tackler and solid in coverage. He is easily the second best safety in this class to Ramsey. Many people have called him the best defender in the ACC. I know highlight videos aren't everything, but just since you admitted not seeing him here is one.

He had five games with double digit tackles this season and 2.5 sacks. He'll never be a single high safety and won't excel if asked to stay back in cover two, but if we got him to play Church's role, I think he can do it at a very high level and at 6'2" 210 can play the nickel/dime S/LB hybrid too.

Church and Wilcox both love to hit and tackle. That's not a problem with our safeties.

Watched the highlights great open field tackler, doesn't show much of coverage skills. Just off of highlights alone and if both were available in the early second I would lean towards Craven though. Church and Wilcox may love to hit but these two guys love to make plays. They make things happen the guys we got react to the things happening.
