Looking at where we sit today we win 1 game over the next two and we have home field advantage throughout the playoffs! Hopefully others can validate that I'm correct?

If we somehow fell apart and lost the next two games AND the Giants won their's, we would actually be a wild card and the Giants would be the #1 seed. I have to say though, It feels almost impossible for this to happen.

It's improbable. But both games will matter. We go all out against the Lions. The Iggles game may be just as big. No let downs. We play until the end.

How so? If the Giants lose Thursday night both games are irrelevant as far as seeding. If we win Monday week 17 becomes irrelevant as far as seeding.

The only way the eagles game matters is if we lose against Detroit and NY wins against philly. If that happens, then the last game against philly will be huge. Otherwise, it'll be meaningless (from a seeding standpoint).

I think the 1993 last game of the season was similar. The one where ES ran for 150+ with a separated shoulder against the Gnats.

You are right. If the Giants lose on Thursday than the last two games are meaningless to. We would have the home field advantage throughout the playoffs no matter what the Seahawks or the rest of the team do. If the Giants win and we win on Monday than we clinch home field and the #1 seed.

Starting to look like the Giants will be a 12-4 Wild Card team.

With a couple of NFC division winners potentially having 10 wins or less.

And after having beaten the team (Cowboys) that won the division they are part of (NFCE) twice.

LOL!!!

We could win out and go undefeated with the exception of the Giants twice....crazy isn't it

And to think we only loss to them by a combined total of 4 pts and the last game our offense didn't play that well

Let's now explore the different variable from a Detroit point of view.
Will they be playing for something next MNF?

That would suck, and as a fan for almost 40 years, it wouldn't be the first time it happened. I remember in 1980 we faced the Eagles in the season finale. We were 11-4 and the Eagles were 12-3. We had to win by 25+ to win the tiebreaker which would've given us the division and HFA. At one point led 35-10 but only won 35-27, finished tied with Eagles for best record in NFC but ended up in the wildcard and lost to them in Philly in the NFCC.

And in '83 we were 12-2 and lost our last 2 games to finish 12-4 and again went to the wildcard game where we lost to the Rams.

This year though I do think we should win at least one of these next two or have the Giants lose again.

havent you heard? The giants are now calling themselves the "Savages" and basically declaring themselves the super bowl team. Beckham seems to think its a foregone conclusion they will be in the super bowl.

I am kind of shocked how much the giants and the ny media are talking about the super bowl this morning. Sounds like the nfc is over.

Why would they not be? Regardless of what happens between now and then, they still have a chance at a bye and need to secure a playoff spot.

Believe we lost to the skins twice in a few of our Super Bowl years.

I think the skins could possibly beat the giants in DC the last week as Wash could still be fighting for the final playoff spot and they are at home.

For us it's a good thing I believe.

Garrett has something to keep their attention.

We are a young team and still unproven at the highest levels.

We will see.

Im listening to Mike Francessa for comic relief this morning. He just told a fan who called in that Prescott isn't good on third down and can't convert on 3rd and 6 or more and Dallas will lose because of it and jerry has a decision to make.

LOL

The NY media and NY players are sure getting full of themselves. I love it. The giants are talking Super Bowl with two weeks to go in the regular season when they havent even clinched a playoff spot yet.
