When we took him in the 3rd round I knew it was a steal. But I didn't realize he'd be one of Jerry's best draft picks ever. Hall of famer and legend.

I remember reading his draft bio on DC.com and wanting us to draft him. They had him labeled as a late first round pick. Was so bummed when we picked Al Johnson over him in the 2nd round. Didn't think he would make it to our 3rd round pick.

Curious as to why he slipped. I think he was before the rennaissance of the TE position maybe?

I am so happy that we have been able to watch he and Romo play in Dallas. Both are cut from the same classy BP cloth. Be a man and respect the game.

That can't be right...

That's what I said when I heard it. I thought surely there was a package that didn't have tight ends, or a late snap in a game already won that he was subbed for.

But nope. He's been in every snap this season.

Said it before, Witten is the modern day Iron Mike.
Dikta is one of my all time favorites.
That puts Jason Witten way up on my list.
I think he is the greatest TE in Cowboy history.

Don't believe that is accurate.

Through week 9 there were 52 players in the NFL who had taken 100% of their teams offensive snaps of which Witten was one. (Martin, Frederick, and Smith were also part of that group).

I have a hard time believing that in week 10 the other 51 players all missed a snap and only Witten was left.

To expand on my previous post, maybe this was in reference to skill players or something.

Of the 52 that played 100% of the offensive snaps through week 9, 3 were QB's (Wilson, Stafford, Brees), 48 were OL and then Witten.
