That's right ladies and gentlemen, it's your chance to play record producer and put together your favorite collection of performers, dead or alive, to create the ultimate band. No limit on # of members, but please give us a little snippet on why you chose each person.
Here's mine (picture all of these guys in their prime at the same time, together):
On the Drums.... Neil Peart- because it's Neil Peart. He can play any style and do it better than any other drummer. He might be a little bit tight for the rest of this band, so I may have to kick him out after a few albums.
On the Bass Guitar.... Flea- he is a great funk/rock bass player, but he also has an amazing sense of feel and can play the slow stuff with a ton of emotion. He was born to play bass.
On Rythym Guitar.... Izzy Stradlin- this former Guns N Roses rocker was the true soul and feel of they're early music. He has a great sense of how a guitar should fit around the bass and drums. I love his jingle-jangle style.
On Lead Guitar..... Eddie Van Halen- I would pay serious money to hear Eddie and Izzy colaborate because I think it would sound amazing. Eddie is the king, and he's never had the benefit of having a solid lead player along side him. With that type of freedom, who knows what he'd come up with.
On Vocals.... David Lee Roth- I'm a firm believer in the magic that lead guitarists and frontmen develop between each other, so I can't break up one of the best combo's in history. Diamond Dave in his prime was an outstanding showman and he'd be superb in front of this band.
