After all of the off season chatter. Videos of him getting burned in practice etc. He goes up against Chase (probably the best receiver in football) and only gives up 6 yards when he was covering him.

This is also after Chase talked abut him in a negative way.

Also. To those who like to crack on Diggs for not liking to tackle. He basically saved the game for the Cowboys yesterday with a very physical play.

Kudos to him.

Great team win. Rush looked good. Did what needed to be done. Very happy on this Monday morning when I didnt think I would be. Love being wrong.

Happy Monday everyone!

Chase is good but saying he may be the best receiver in the NFL is a stretch. Lol.

Diiggs did make a huge run stop at a critical time. But he also pretty much yelled Ole’ earlier in the game in a similar situation. Glad to see him partially make up for his earlier lack of effort.

Fans have unrealistic expectations for corners nowadays. There is no such thing as a lockdown corner with these rule changes and how special WR talent has become.

There are no more Revis’s, Bailey’s, or Woodson’s. Jalen Ramsey is regarded as by far and away the best corner and he gets beat often. Jaire Alexander, Xavien Howard, JC Jackson you name it all get beat multiple times a game.

In todays day and age, you just want someone who can give the other teams WR1 a challenge and can make plays on the ball. Diggs definitely qualifies and he’s a top 10 CB in this league.

If you’re expecting anyone to be a shut down corner week in and week out you’ll find yourself asking if shut down corners even exist. Hint, they do not.

Speaking of rule changes, I thought the NFL was going to make illegal contact a point of emphasis this season? I have been watching for two weeks and all I see is defenders mugging WRs downfield.

He's up there for sure. He gets rated higher simply because he's so young.

chase is absolutely in the conversation. guy can do it all. Diggs had a good game, and was practically always in position. Only issue I had was how dramatically he reacted to a modest push off. He's been great though. imo

Same way Ramsey acted when Gallup pushed off. Only Diggs never gets the call. Hmmmm

Diggs will pick off Daniel Jones 3 times next Monday night. And will be back on track.

Then will get 4 picks against Wentz....
Man, Wentz is Jekyl and Hyde - Crazy game yesterday for them!

Diggs wasn't playing up to par. But he made up for it at the end.

Diggs is a CB that plays within the scheme. He understands football really well and know where the help defenders should be located.
- If he jump a route, it's because he knows he should have help on that play.
- Richard Sherman was this type of CB.
- CBs like Deion and Revis just lined up 1 on 1 vs the top WR, but most CBs don't play that style.

My point: Diggs won't always look great in 1 on 1 practice drills without other defenders on the field.

Diggs made a great play late, and he was OK the rest of the day.

But make no mistake, the secondary had a great day largely because Burrow was playing matador and sacrificial lamb all game.

Had a couple more passes defended. I'd like some INTs, but these are still play making.

I also noticed (for the most part) the safeties were hitting people. Wilson look sharper.

He played well, and the tackle at the end was a VERY big play.

I'll remind everyone that relentless pressure from the DL makes a corners job much easier.

That said, the damage by Chase was limited, and they won the game. Bottom line.

He's a top 5 pick who just made 2nd team all pro. He's not the best but it's not really a huge stretch to say he is (he's at worst a fringe top 5 guy)
