Credit Where Credit Is Due for the Jaguars

I fell asleep early last night so I just re-watched the condensed Jacksonville game. That was amazing. I don't know if I am more impressed with Lawrence or their defense. At one point Lawrence's stat line was: 5 of 18 for 35 yards with 0 TDs and 4 Daks. And from that he goes on to throw 4 TDs including a clutch TD to Kirk. Amazing. And then the defense. If I told you that your team was down 24-0, and the next 2 drives by your offense would result in a pick and then a muffed punt putting the ball at your own 6 would you like your chances? That is one tough defense and they really came to play last night. Other than #44 who appears to be a moron. What toughness and a great game. And what a coaching job this year by Pederson. He seems like a very solid and likeable guy.
I wonder how Bosa is feeling? His penalty at the end is probably why Jax went for 2 at the end, which enabled them to win not tie on a FG.

Long term I think Lawrence is going to be a better QB than Herbert. His 2022 regular season wasnt on par, but it was a huge step up from his rookie year. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a huge jump in 2023. Even if they get blown out in the second round, he'll be going into the offseason with momentum after that win

Joey Bosa really looked bad last night with his meltdown over the officiating. Seeing him standing on the sideline towards the end of the 4th Q was was a bad look at a time when they really needed him to make a play.

This is like Romo's crazy game where he threw 5 picks but made the plays at the end to win
And Lawrence did it in the playoffs
says a lot for the mental toughness

I still think Herbert is a stud. But with elite level talent, coming in and getting you back side handed to you like Lawrence did in 2021 can be a character building experience
