We get it.

I thought it was very good. I went with the inlaws and some fam and every girl in our group cried during the movie. During the motorcycle scene, I was fired up. Really curious to see what they'd do if this were a franchise.

I like the idea that Bianca could make it big as a musician at the same time that he is making it big as a boxer, think I've seen enough of the worried housewife trope.

The movie was predictable throughout. I literally predicted it as it was happening.

It was better than the two abortions that preceded it but I couldn't possibly care less about another one. Not unless they get a new Creed and some fresh ideas.

This is not surprising. You're opinions are pretty bad and this is another notch on the bad opinion belt. MBJ is a very good actor.

That's your opinion. Mine is he sucks. This is a message board.

What's the problem?

lol, I don't know why you feel the need to keep reiterating that you didn't like the movie. I understand.

I thought it was pretty solid. Even though it's perfectly believable for a son to have a different personality than his father, I would have preferred they had scripted a more flamboyant character similar to Apollo/Ali. However, a flamboyant personality like Apollo wouldn't make some of the choices that Adonis makes, so I don't fault the actor for the character having a more low key workmanlike personality. Still, Carl Weathers was one of my favorite boxers/actors, so I was a little disappointed they didn't have more in common. The way that movie is scripted, I really can't picture another actor handling it much better than Jordan. There was some depth to his character, but not a lot and it just seemed like one of those roles that would be hard to play without coming off at least a little bit corny at times. Despite the title, Rocky still takes up much of the screen time. I imagine that part of the movie's direction was due to Stallone not wanting to have a stronger personality dominate the film.

Interesting you bring up the lack of flamboyance. I actually thought the character had a very large opinion of himself, considering he was willing to take on the #2 guy in the world without ever having taken a single boxing class. The ego was there, it was just projected differently.

I was surprised the Stallone didn't direct, produce or write the movie myself. I'm sure he was consulted, but it seems like he made a conscious decision to take a step back on this one.

I loved the final frame of the movie with Adonis in center frame and an aged Rocky off to the side, felt like a passing of the torch.

He had some flamboyance but not over the top.

He was on a confident mission to prove he wasn't no mistake.

He could not be overly flamboyant like his dad because his dad was champion of the world. He talked the talk and walked the walk.... Then he fight rocky.... But up until then he was the greatest (character modeled after Ali)

Apollo : "you fight great but I'm a great fighter".... Donnie wasn't there(great)..... Isn't..... Yet....

Yup.... Pretty damn good for 4th movie.

Great stories pieces..

1. Usa / Russia
2. Friend Apollo needing something, asking rocky
3. Dies in ring
4. David vs Goliath
5. Apollos Duke training Rocky (Duke: He's worried! You cut him! You hurt him! You see? You see? He's not a machine, he's a man!)

I would have liked an exchange with Rocky and Mary Anne.

Pretty sure there was never any interaction with the two characters.
