Collinsworth: Arizona could never win in a dome and away from arizona and they are 3-0 (outside of Arizona)

Collinsworth: I'm impressed with New Orleans. Greg Williams has done a great job with the defense.

Collinsworth: I am surprised about the stumble in the nfc east and people thought it would be the best division but you could pick apart those things (as far as criticisms)

Collinsworth: To me, the NFL Season is about to start. When it gets cold outside, we see who can run, war of attrition, depth, coaching.

Collinsworth: Washington Commanders have a few big money players every year and when they get hurt and no depth

Collinsworth: Nov 1 is the start of football for me.

Collinsworth: I like the Vikings, so many ways for them to win, Brett is starting to get insync with Harvin, Rice. Flukey things happened against the Steelers. We will find out more about them when they play Green Bay

Host: I was impressed with them after the Steelers game, it was set up for them to lose though.

Collinsworth: Brett did what he had to do, it just ended in a flukey way

Host: Jim Zorn? We revere him in Seattle and hate to see what is happening to him

Collinsworth: I think he is one of the finest people I have met. Im with Steve Largent, make sure you get paid. I think they are trying to get him to do something, to get him in breach of contract. I think it is over for Jim. I can't imagine him coming back. It is almost unfair, QB Coach, OC and then HC. I think he should have gotten more experience. They have a good defense and I think one of the big coaches will come in next year.

Host: Is Snyder going to cede power, if one of the big name coaches come in?

Collinsworth: He did with Joe Gibbs, and it didnt work out. Lots of voices in Snider's ear. They get loud on tv, radio when things go bad. Holmgren could come in and nobody is going to mess with him and he will make sure to get a contract where he gets paid if someone does.

Host: Cedric Benson and the Bengals?

Collinsworth: Lost to the broncos on the fluke play, they could have been 6-1. They won 3 games at the wire though. Last year, Chad and TJ were upset and they were the ringleaders. This offseason, TJ goes to Seattle, Chad goes back to work. Biggest story is the defense under Mike Zimmer and the Offensive Line that is a bunch of mutts. No experience, just threw them together. When you solidity the offensive line, alot of good things happen.

Host: Will the Bengals make the Playoffs with a very favorable schedule?

Collinsworth: If this is any other team I would say yes, but this is the Bengals. So right now, I am not sure.

****didn't even ask him about the Cowboys game  ****

I have been listening to the Station all mourning and the only Seattle Seahawk's football they have discussed is whether Walter Jones is done or not.

They are going to have something called "The Seahawks Roundtable" at 10:30 (I guess Seattle time), so I will try to get that.

Thanks for the recap.

Wow not one word about the boys, yet we still set the TV ratings on fire, every time we play. :starspin:

They are saving the the talk about sundays game for the roundtable. Hugh Millen will come in and break down matchups and schemes. Ways to win or lose the game. Thats why they haven't really been talking about it yet. Saving it for the roundtable.

It must be nice not being under constant media scrutiny. Here the most mundane things turn into ESPN/DMN headlines. For example, only in big D, a Monday off after a good game can turn into a coaching decision that has the potential to ruin the season.:) No matter that this has been done by a multitude of coaches both past and present.

So when the Vikings win on a last second play, they are world beaters, but when they lose a close game, it's a fluke. Gotcha.

And the host's quote "it was set up for them (Vikings) to lose" could be construed the wrong way. I think I know what he meant though.

Very dangerous quote. Conspiracy theorist can infer all kinds of things from it, imo.

Most of the people on the Round Table believe the Cowboys will blow the Seahawks out.

Miles Austin is getting some love as well.

...i'm not thoroughly convinced that Pittsburgh is the better team but with the return of Polamalu the Steelers have a way of making you beat yourself, as Favre and the Vikings found out...Roethlisberger exposed their secondary a little...

The Vikings got 2 of there wins from some pretty flukey plays, they easily could of loss to the Niners and Ravens. I think people are giving this team way too much credit. They are pretty good team, but they dont scare me. Seems like the more the season goes along the more they are getting Favre happy and moving away from Peterson. That is great news for the rest of the NFL.

I don't mind. It makes listening to the sport talk tolerable IMO.
