Cris Collinsworth "I am not sure the Cowboys aren´t the best team in football"

I love the attention but until proven otherwise I would still say the Pats are the team to beat. I just hope we get a shot at them in the SB and this time around not make as many mistakes as we did in the 1st game.

guys get over it.......you know these analysts and announcers change their stances on a weekly basis as the season progresses........it happens every year.

the only analysts that seem to remain the same are Charles Barkley, who continuously picks the Spurs to win, no matter how they play during the season.....and Chris Berman, who always picks the Niners and Bills...

Haha, isn't this the same Collinsworth that said the Patriots were the best team he's ever seen? Does that mean that we're now the best team he's ever seen?

Costas and Marino asked him about that. I cant remember what his response was. Something to the line that the Cowboys are getting healthy and starting to gel.

Chris Collinsworth may not be as bulky as people think a football player should be but when he was playing, he was always one of the best, year after year after year and he won some of those post-season trash sports athletic specials on TV. He was flat good and as much fun to watch as Staubach and Tarkenton had been in earlier years. He was as good a clutch receiver as Drew Pearson and as smooth and athleticly graceful as Lynn Swan.

I may not always agree with him but I do respect him and listen to what he says and then think about it. He may be one cocky son of a gun, you get that way when you're as good as he was, but he usually knows what he is talking about and is not very wrong very often.

Why does everyone hate Collinsworth so much? I've always thought he was pretty good.

I agree with you Bob. Collinsworth can be cocky but I enjoy listening to his analysis.

Anyways, people's opinion changes, as the ranking does so I'm not surprised if Collinsworth made this comment after watching the Cowboys vs Packers.

Personally, I think patsies are still better than us but we are closing the gap, very fast.

he's like the bill walton of the nfl

team A scores a basket in the 1st quarter to make it 12-10. "they are absolutely dominating this game. this game is over. hand this team their rings"

team B scores two baskets to make it 12-14. "they are absolutely dominating this game. this game is over. hand this team their rings"

I once heard Bill Walton say that 0.8 seconds is an eternity in the NBA.

I really never had that bad of an impression of Collinsworth (Cowboy flattering remarks aside) and personally I think he is being dragged down by that dufus sitting beside him.

totally agree

Gumbel is the worst NFL announcer on TV right now, without question

unfortunately, we all have to endure it for at least the rest of this yr, not to mention they call the Carolina game in a few weeks

I´m with you, I think he is great, he knows what he´s talking about, no matter what people think of him, he must be doing something right, that´s why he works with NBC, HBO and NFL Network.
