It was a fight in a football game.

Not directing this towards you but I find it odd that a bunch of people piss and moan about how sissified the league has become and then get all angry when the league fails to sit a guy out for being the exception to the sissification.

If there is one thing we can all agree about, the league is getting less and less physical and IMO having guys suspended for throwing a few punches would only further that.

the cheatriots don't get suspended for anything (except rodney harrison, because he had a rep while with the Chargers). Karma finally caught up to him and his career is over.

Karma will eventually catch up to Seymour and Wilfork also.

I think you will be hard pressed to find many players who have been suspended for fighting on the field. Its not like he blindsided the guy. They stood toe-to-toe and one guys helmet came off.

It wasn't your everday fight in football. Crowders' helmet was off and he was struck repeatedly on the noggin'. Penalty should have been stiffer IMO.

I'm all for Jones getting stiff punishments. In fact since I don't even like the player I wouldn't have been said if he got a life ban.

That does not, however, mean that players throwing punches in a game shouldn't get at least a 1 game suspension. What Light did should have meant at the very least two and the fact that he's not getting one at all speaks volumes to the fact that Goodell isn't doing the best job he can do, across the board.

Of course the fact that you're a fan whose legacy is built on cheating I'm not surprised, in the least, that you're defending the fact that he wasn't suspended.

So you agree that the fines should have been equal? One guy is punching the other guy in the head, literally, and you think the fines should be equal?

I don't think so. There is a difference between two guys going at it, each with helmets on, than one guy repeatedly punching another guy with his helmet off.

uh, yeah. I guess I am just not one to expect guys in a heated tussle to just call a timeout when one guy loses his helmet.

Crowder went back and initiated it just as much as Light did after he lost his helmet.

Both are equally responsible and should have been punished equally. Just because one guy takes a bigger beating doesn't mean that he should have pity taken on him.

Both caused it, both pay for it.
