Crowder, Thomas "Pepper" Johnson, Tyson Thompson absolutely have to make the team. Cut A-Train for T. Thompson. Cut Carson for T. Johnson.

Crowder is the one I wonder about the most. Is anybody worth a roster spot just for special teams because he's probably not good enough WR. If he keeps it up then find away. He's a game changer. What a heck of a play on the punt block to contort your body like he did.

I don't know if I would cut A-Train, but Thompson would have to be on the 53 man squad instead of the PS.

I'm a big fan of Thompson, but there really isn't a spot for him on this roster. Unfortunately, after last night, I think he would be quickly picked up if moved to the practice squad.

There is a spot for him. Bet on that. A-Train just got derailed or one of the FBs.

nice first post man, really hope our better than kartr on the subject of your title, and dont worry TT will find a way on to the roster if he can be a compltete back and not just a speed one.

If they go with five WRs like they claim, I don't see anyone being more valuable at that spot than Crowder if he continues producing on STs. The fourth wr rarely gets on the field so I don't see keeping a fifth like Merritt or Copper.

Crowder is a beast on ST, always has been. Too bad they can't turn him into a safety or something.

I've had the exact same ideas about FS, Baj. I believe when he came in, they tired him there for a while. I guess he just couldn't do it though.

TT-------6'!" 220---------all that speed........Jimmy Johnson: Speed Kills/ pure and simple, never have enough: speed w/ Size even better yet

lets see.........multiple sets, shift ala Tom Landry.......end up w/ TT out at split end one on one w/ a LB

:welcome: to the board.

For what it's worth.....I don't think QC is returning.

jeez, I hope not. I think I'd go out in the yard, burn my cowboys hat, and call the "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" folks to erase football from my memory.

Let's not forget Troy Hambrick and Reshard Lee looked like the next best thing in preseason. Heck I thought we'd have Macey Brooks in the pro bowl by now.

Thompson will be on the team I think. As long as he keeps playing like this. No way he gets to the practice squad, someone will pick him up.

Oh where oh were did Reshard Lee go?

Good post except A-Train stays if BP is smart. BP needs to bite the bullet and keep 4 backs and one FB and Bickerstaff is out. If TT goes to PS, he's picked up. Also, you're right, Carson better kick in or he is out for Pepper and Ratliff.

I think Thompson just made the final cut down a lot harder. Obviously, he needs to keep it up, but I can't imagine how he ever makes the PS. Someone would pick him up...

As much as I like what Crowder did last night, he just looks like a practice squad type to me. Bill has even said several times what he likes out of a PS guy, and Crowder seems to be it. He is eligible, right?

The young Defensive Lineman are actually the most interesting to me. Could Carson really be on the bubble due to the surprising play of Pepper Jr. and Ratliff? Thomas Johnson just seems to show something every time, and Ratliff also seems effective.

One thing is certain, this is more talent that Cowboy fans have seen in several years. Cuts will actually mean something this year, as opposed to past years where they were basically sorting junk.

Crowder gave the same performance for the Arkansas Razorbacks week after week. There is no reason to think he will not continue to produce here at Dallas. Every kickoff and punt.. he is the first player down field.. usually, even when doubled teamed. One on one coverage against him when he is at the gunner position is almost no challenge to him. He rarely gets touched negotiating against only one opposing player (blocker). I watched him play at Arkansas and came to expect something spectacular every game. Several games he made two or three spectacular plays. If you're watching your TV screen and Dallas is kicking off or punting.. the first player you will see enter the picture along with the opposing team's returner is #15. Perhaps the next three pre-season games will substantiate his true value to the Cowboys organization.
