this will be a very interesting draft for us this year.. we have too many draft choices to be able to sign them all so we could see a trade or 2 on draft day where we move down from the first and pick up another first day pickup...or maybe we trade some of the lower 7's we have for a higher pick...or maybe trade for next year's picks...
we have the most picks of all teams this year... we have got to be a desirable place for some teams who are hungry for picks to turn to.. yes , even the Skins!
I also would bet that New Orleans will come a calling one more time as Sean tries to pick up another player he coached when he was with us, a good opportunity for us to get more picks next year..maybe a Reeves....or Nathan Jones ...or Austin/Hurd..
we do have a stockpile of potential that other teams may try to get mileage out of.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Dallas target a guy at the start of Day 2 and move some of those late round picks to move up and get him.

WE should do some trading up with our latter picks. It would be nice to get an extra third or fourth. We are pretty solid right now with the starters. Astin showed some return skills so I think he will be there, but I am not sure about Hurd or the rest. We need depth at WR, OT, CB, NT, and ILB. AN extra first day pick would be great to get these holes filled.

I don;t see Jerruh reaching in the first round. He can get an impact WR at #22. But OT and LB should be a priority in the 2nd or 3rd. Third or fourth round should be the one we didn't pick in the 2nd, or for NT and CB. After that, 5th thru 7th picks are just camp meat.

BTW, I read somewhere a few days ago that Fabini was cut. Is this true?

We'll use our late 5 picks (6th & 7th rounds) to try moving up anywhere from the 4th-6th rounds. Hope we draft well & particularly don't screw up our 4th round pick like we did when we drafted Skyler Green in 06.

Most of our starters are fine but we must draft their successors this year or else we'll be in trouble in 08. If we can draft a CB to replace Glenn in 08), a LT who along with McQuistan can challenge Adams, DT to backup Ferguson this year but replace him no later then 09, we will really have helped ourselves. We also need an ILB who could challenge Ayodele or James or at least is more then adequate replacement for Fowler. We also need to add some depth at other positions.

those 6th and 7th rnd guys are'nt gonna make the team. you might get a nt in the 6th who might stick but most position player have little shot with our roster. so i would trade a 6th and all those 7th's for a future 4th.i would trade down in rnd 2 and get a future 4th and a 4th this year.
1-revis/houston cb
2-ramirez g
3- anthony waters ilb
4-beck qb 4-brandon frye ot
5-zak deossie ilb
6-luois leonard dt

We need DT Branch when he falls to us.....what a bargain
I think we need Revis or Ross in the 1st, OT or WR in the 2nd and Paul Solilia, (sp??) from Utah in the 3rd (or even the 2nd). Wasn't Bart Oates from Utah? I think they produce pretty good players.

I would also consider trying to make a trade using next years 1st and 3rd to get an extra 1st this year. They we may be able to get one of the premier CBs and WRs this year. I think next year will be hard to sign TNew, Colombo, Romo, et. al. plus draft picks. But you're right, the money is starting to dry up this year too...

I'm a big horns fan and I have to say Ross scares me, teams towards the end of the season were picking on him and beating him. I hope Dallas thinks long and hard about Ross.

I wouldn't mind using a #7 or even a #6 to draft WR Samardjia just in case baseball does not work out for him.....or if a Michael Bush just drops because of his injury situation, you never know. :crossed:

If QB John Beck is there in the 4th, grab him. I might even use a 3rd rounder on him.
