How is his injury coming along? Can we sign him? In my opinion I would rather have him than Cortez.

I like Cundiff threads

I believe its like week 10 that we can resign him and totally agree.

Debating between these two kickers reminds me of that mascot election they had on South Park.

Neither are appealing, although Cortez has been surprisingly adequate. Cundiff always made me nervous as well.

Adequate? Sad, but I agree on Cundiff. At least he didnt make me sweat the 25-35 yd fgs....

cortez is a shank waiting to happen - thats my issue with him

Week 10 assuming he is healthy.

Sure is funny how one of the message boards' favorite Cowboys whipping boys is now one of their favorite prodigal sons... LOL...

Agreed. I never understood the hate for Billy the kid, and I have been against the Cortez signing since day 1. That being said, Cortez was doing well until last week, but if we have a close game and need a game winning kick, lets just say I get A LOT more nervous than in the past.

Cortez got cut by the 49ers because of pressure shanks. He will miss the big kick even if its not the "50 Yarder". We are damn lucky to win the giant game by hit foot.

I realize it's unlikely, but any chance we resign Cundiff and still keep Cortez? I'll miss Cortez's kickoffs.

Do we still have a kicker in the PS?

No Way, we are low on roster spots now. If only we could use McBriar for punter and kicker =)

:laugh2:

I would like to keep an eye on the Colorado Buffalo's kicker coming up. He has a hell of a leg.

Even after Cundiff is healthy and we are eligible to sign him it would be a few weeks till he's ready. He needs to kick the ball a few weeks to get his rythm (sp?), strength, and endurance back.

But if it looks like we're gonna make the playoffs I'll dump Cortez and pick up Cundiff around week 14.

Tucker is the same way all of a sudden.

I gotta say I was backing Cundiff all offseason even had a sig of him for a few weeks because I got tired of other members bashing him. I feel more comfortable with Billy other than the rare kickoff that cortez will send into the endzone his KO's are worse than Billy's.

Now with cortez I'm not un happy with his kicking but heck he's a kicker its hard to feel secure with any kicker, and if BP thinks Billy can do a better job he will be back if not signed by another team before then.

HA HA... so which one is Cortez right now? I am like most of the others... he is a shank or a missed PAT waiting to happen

what gives fellas?? you guys are like a bunch of yo-yos... I'm glad football people are running the show instead of a bunch of fantasy football PC gladiators. As far as worrying about Cortez, what good does that do??? Just gripe and cuss like everyone else when he misses, isn't that what you're supposed to do??
