Many long term posters in this house,, so just asking a general question to the forum...
Have you found the Dak love vs hate debate so polarizing that posters you used to respond with, now you ignore?
Ive never been one to ignore anyone, I believe in hearing what everyone is saying,, but these are some strange times indeed... its right or left, and I appreciate the entertainment,, Hey Im right there participating,, Im just throwing a general thought out there,, just seems the in between doesn't exist anymore,, and I mean what would an oreo cookie be without the filling?

Since I am new here I feel everyone has a right to respect an opinion not their own. I am also fearful of tying up so much money for Dak, Elliott and Cooper because I have seen a few red flags with them disappearing on the road at times. However, we have a new regime here now and the next couple of years will say alot. If the Cowboys can fix a weak secondary the defense should be better. Let's all give this time, I am willing to wait a couple of years. There is talent, better coaching. Now let's all sit back and hope for the best.

There's a lot of post(ers) that don't deserve my responses. I have no real opinion on Dak other that anything more than a Carson Wentz costs contract is too much. I don't really care otherwise. Seen some really dumb post on the subject though.

disclaimer: I've only been a member here 2 years.

I haven't been on the zone that long but I've spent years on Cowboys forum and the Dallas Cowboys forum and I've never let anyone come between my fan forum experience. If I had a curious question to ask it would be why do we care so much about what others believe or how they conduct themselves in a fan forum with "the exception being disrespect of course"

Here's to all of you:) well most of you anyway;)

9 times out of 10 I dont even know who responds to me or who I respond to. There are about 3 or 4 members that I even really recognize who they are when the respond to me. I truly come here for fun....if the site didnt exist I would still be the biggest Cowboys fan that ever walked the planet.

ive ignored 3 users for hating full-on troll on Zeke, not yet dak, its a 50/50 split with dak but both sides have points and other then maybe 3 users I know are full on troll trouble makers on Dak or on the other side..im in the middle on Dak so maybe thats why..

for some reason the ones that go out of their way to hate on Zekes have got under my skin and have been ignored..

Dak’s play is very polarizing . Good stats , lousy record against quality teams .

There are 5 NFL starting QBs with winning records vs winning teams: Brady, Wilson, Mahomes, Garropolo, and Roethlisberger. Brady, Wilson, and Ben have had some pretty good defenses backing them up over their careers, which certainly helps, but that's not to take away from how well they've played.

The other 27 have losing records vs winning teams. Some of that is having questionable defenses to overcome, but if we're going to talk about QB records vs quality teams the fact is most of them don't have a good one. It's as if beating good teams is difficult, or something.

A few reasons for the intensity of the Dak debate:

1. Some see it is a proxy for Romo - ergo, if you love Romo, you must hate Dak, if you hate Romo, you must love Dak. Inane, but it's how some people think.

2. Some Dak supporters insist on reading the most malicious intent into the views of Dak critics - that if a Dak critic complains that Dak will eat up too much of the salary cap and prevent the Cowboys from signing other talent, it must mean they personally begrudge Dak money out of sheer malice.

I think in regards to #2.........people have shown how to give Dak his money and still be able to surround talent around him. But people refuse to understand it.

Good points , just consider this with Dak
1) he wants more money than all those QBs you mentioned
2) Dak is 1-6 against winning teams , and lost to the jets and Bears as well .

I'm not a hater or a lover, but there are posters on both extremes whom I ignore, either officially or just out of habit.

Good post, though not exactly on topic. :muttley:

Reminds me of the Tony Banks, Ryan Leaf, Quincy Carter, Anthony Wright, and Clint Stoerner debates from back in the day.

Good times.

Those were the days! There was one poster who was the ultimate Stoerner fan it was just so weird,I can’t remember who it was though.

So you want to consider 2019 and ignore all the other games he won the prev 3 seasons?

The coaches and players all laid an egg last season.
