Was looking at Spotrac's valuations for some of our free agents. What is the opinion?

Osa - $21m
Lawrence - $12m
Golston - $7.3m
Dowdle - $6.2m
Lewis - $2.3m
Lawson -$3.8m
Lance - $2.1m
Rush - $5m
Kendricks - $6.8m

Seems like OSA is a done deal. If these are anywhere near what happens I would lock up Golston, Lewis, and Lawson. I seriously doubt we can get Lewis for that amount however. I doubt anyone can sign Lance for anywhere near that. Seems too much for Kendricks and Dowdle.

Would love to see a starting caliber OL, DT, and WR or LB in free agency.

Restructure CD saves $20.5m
Extension Parsons saves 18.2m
With our current space we would have about $42m in space.

Guys that could be cut, extended or restructured to save space: Steele, Hooker, D. Wilson, Diggs, Bland. Dak's is built to restructure but shouldn't be used. Two years to get it done or blow it up in reality.

I think that Rico gets less and Lance gets more. Lewis gets more and Rush gets less.

I think that is expensive for a QB3.

The problem is that would cost $65m (of this $100m mythical 'Restructure Every Contract').....just to bring back the 7-10 gang.

We arent improving, just spending more resources on standing still. I dont see the rationale of spending $65m on mostly rotational level guys and then cut Steele et al.....and have gaps at: RT, S (x2), CB (x2).

We need to tear it down, we dont have the foundation to build-upon. Indeed, this should of happened 12 months ago.

Rico is at his proper market number. I'm signing Golston at that number. DLaw played for $10M last season I believe, so heck no for $12M, lower. Lewis a $5M player, sign him today. Kendricks, seems a bit high. Rush n Lance...whatever.
Osa
Golston
Lewis
Lawson
Looks decent to me, but it'll probably just be Osa n Lewis.

But what's the strategy? Decent to achieve what goal? Maybe a ceiling of 7th seed play-off, one-and-done, having the same holes next year.

(sorry, i'm mad he didnt tear it down last year)

I agree, there's not much ceiling. The strategy is just retain players at a cheap price who can start, that's all.

They had the perfect opportunity to reboot, but the idiots extended Dak and ruined the team's future.

Not sure what the love is for gholston but I like seeing these numbers, d law if he wants that hmm maybe I'm thinking about 8ish if not he goes elsewhere

Just because their average might be 65m doesn’t mean their cap hits will be anywhere near that the first year…could be less than half that amount. It just depends on the structure.

Golston feels a bit like Armstrong and if we aren’t bringing back Tank we have a need.

It’s sobering that we have to spend so much just to maintain our substandard status. We had some really good young players at a reasonable cost basis and failed to go anywhere with them. 3 decades of Groundhog Day.

None of these sites are going to be perfect, but Spotrac is probably the most accurate. I would imagine that Lance gets a deal with some incentives for significantly more, but his base is probably around there. Seems odd they would have Lewis taking a pay cut, but its not significant enough of an amount to worry about. Other than that I think this looks like realistic starting points for talks with these guys. Maybe DLaw has to settle for a bit of an incentive based deal given his history of missing games?
