Curious what you think of Spotrac's Free Agent Valuations?

Was looking at Spotrac's valuations for some of our free agents. What is the opinion?

Osa - $21m
Lawrence - $12m
Golston - $7.3m
Dowdle - $6.2m
Lewis - $2.3m
Lawson -$3.8m
Lance - $2.1m
Rush - $5m
Kendricks - $6.8m

Seems like OSA is a done deal. If these are anywhere near what happens I would lock up Golston, Lewis, and Lawson. I seriously doubt we can get Lewis for that amount however. I doubt anyone can sign Lance for anywhere near that. Seems too much for Kendricks and Dowdle.

Would love to see a starting caliber OL, DT, and WR or LB in free agency.

Restructure CD saves $20.5m
Extension Parsons saves 18.2m
With our current space we would have about $42m in space.

Guys that could be cut, extended or restructured to save space: Steele, Hooker, D. Wilson, Diggs, Bland. Dak's is built to restructure but shouldn't be used. Two years to get it done or blow it up in reality.
It sounds off. Osa high, D Law, Dowdle, Golston High, Lewis, Lance Low. If we let Lance (or Lewis) go for 2m a year and don't keep him as a backup that would be foolish, unless we draft a guy

If you don't restructure Dak save the rest of the cash and just let everyone walk for comp picks.
Nothing you post makes sense unless it starts with getting that money.

Spotrac's free agent valuations are better than anyone on this board would do by quite a large margin because they are based on analytics and math.

The better questions is how many of these guys are worth their valuations to Dallas?

I agree generally but there were some discrepancies I thought were pretty interesting. Dowdle at 6m was too high IMO, and Lance too low at 2m and change. Osa at $21m and then Williams from Philly at 12m was a surprise when almost everywhere has them very close together. Jordan Lewis is a very good slot corner and 2.3m or whatever it is would be a steal, although he played last year on a one year deal I believe for about 3m.

Completely disagree. We can make the money to do all the moves suggested and add a couple outside free agents without touching Dak's money. He has two years and then we can move on. Dallas seems to think we are not rebuilding. It makes no sense to keep making Dak's contract worse down the road.

Getting a bunch of 5th, 6th and 7th rounders isn't going to build a team. You aren't going to be getting high picks for who we would be letting go.

The only reason to use Dak's money is if we are truly all in and are going to target some high dollar impact players. Do you really think the Jones' are going to do that?

I think your takes on those are very fair but again these valuations are using historical analysis with zero ego or bias attached
Does any team see Lance as a true backup QB in 2025?? I sure hope so but it seems doubtful.
Dowdle earned money last year for sure. And RB is gaining in value again on the open market.

Whether you hate or love Dak makes zero difference to his guarantees.
His deal is a sunk cost so the best you can do is manage it to be as least painful as possible.
Last year they went the painful way and we saw the roster they put on the field.

He's here, he's paid for, go get better around him.

Flip that switch and get the 37M before next week.

There was some talk of letting him compete with Richardson in Indy. They have Rush at 5m a year...I could see Lance closer to like 4m a year on a 2 year deal or similar.

I do think Dowdle earned money, but to go from minimum to $6m per year would be kind of steep IMO. There are guys out there like Cam Akers, JK Dobbins, Nick Chubb(who will be better with more time off), Ty Johnson, Kareem Hunt, and some others under $4m a year that I think would fit with a rookie really well.

I guess I need to see what the numbers would be after the change...but assuming it doesn't really make a difference....then go balls out. We need to target a starting level DT, a starting level OG or OT, a true #2 WR, and probably a starting level corner because I have zero faith in Diggs coming back healthy.
