Just checked OverTheCap and it looks like they have all the adjustments up to date. They are showing us $20m under the cap. That is including the adjustments from Gary and the trade of Osa. It doesn't have Hennessey but his deal won't have any effect, and it doesn't have the new corner....which will take about $4-4.5m of the space we have.

They still have not touched Q. Williams deal, DaRon Bland's deal, or Jake Ferguson's deal. If they restructured those, it would bring up to $28 more in cap space.

And if they decide to extend multi year deals to Pickens, Aubrey, and Bass they could pick up to another $28m in cap.

The cap is not and has not been holding us back from making moves. Hopefully, we still aren't finished.

Who would you like to see us go get that wouldn't cost us giving up all our firsts?
Anyone we could get for our 5th?

They aren't done.

a5th? for that kind of draft capital, Im pretty sure we should be able to swing Mahomes. He is coming off a pretty serious injury. He is clearly on the downside. Make it happen Jerry!

In free agency there is Bobby Wagner and Bobby Okereke. They can also make trades.
Or more likely, sign guys off the streets who just passed their barista courses. Wagner hasn't wanted to come here. Is there any indication from the owner that there is a plan in place? Asking for a friend, in case you didn't read his jarggled comments today

There are probably some "bad" contracts or cut candidates you could go after for some of the more cap strapped teams around the league to get contributors or depth pieces.

Buffalo - Michael Hoecht or Ryan Van De Mark
Miami - Jordyn Brooks (2027 pick for Post June 1 designation)
Minnesota - Isaiah Rodgers or Aaron Jones

These guys don't really move the needle but there are more options out there (like Gary).

It's pretty obvious that they will get a linebacker or 2 from somewhere and have 3 ways to get them.

He just had an All-pro year.
One of the few bright spots on the Dolphins defense.

This is his last year of his current deal, so any trade IMO would have the risk of him wanting a new deal, and probably a value that represents his 1st team AP season.

Are you comfortable with an LB from somewhere, considering we have totally ignored the position up until now? You want just a body? Jerry has whiffed, so signing some scrub to a 1-year deal is progress? This makes no sense, please try to make it, make sense for me, lol

Well that's why you give them a 5th and then if you can't re-sign him let him walk and get the pick right back in comp.

A rental is fine.

If they would accept a 5th for him. No clue how to value LBs on one year left, but just a 5th seems like something Miami wouldn't do.

Maybe, depends if they value the cap space.

There's really no point to them having him on the roster.
