Per my other posted on this related topic -- the only thing the Cowboys are cursed with is a front-office who's basic strategy is HOPE.

They HOPE Waters can come out of retirement and help. They HOPE Leary's congenital knee condition doesn't end his career at any moment. They HOPE an aging DL averaging over 30 years of age starting Spencer, Ratliff, Hatcher, and Ware can make the successful transition to a 4-3 and not experience injuries despite the fact that two of them had injury issues last year.

HOPE does work out from time to time, but HOPE as a strategy almost always fails.
