#Texans LB Brian Cushing does have a torn ACL, per @ProFootballTalk. Here's @ArthurArkush's column on losing Cushing - http://******/R4pTYJ

First of all that is a big loss for Houston. Second, hopefully this will propel the owners to out law cut blocking. That was a highly questionable block last night.

Mario and now this. They are cursed, now we'll never have known how good that defense could of been.

If he takes enough HGH he can be back by the 10th week of the season. :muttley:

The defense got better last year when Mario went out with an injury

Tough loss for them but they handled losing Super Mario last year with out problem. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep right on trucking even without Cushing.

Now now we know he just had over trained athlete syndrome :lmao2:

I think the guy is a tremendous athlete. Didn't see the game but have heard it was a cheap shot. Then heard it was legal. Then heard the Texans use the same blocking scheme. So ?

Cannot see them replacing Cushing with anyone close to his capability but they have Wade. The defensive genius. He'll figure out something I guess.

I will be so upset if Wade Phillips signs LB Adrian Hamilton from the Ravens PS and he becomes a really good LB for the Texans.

tough break for the texans. they do have brady james to take his place:rolleyes:

If I were him I'd be beyond pissed off. That was such a cheap shot.

What is a player supposed to do?

Can't block em high in that situation or else you'll probably get flagged.

Get ready to see more of this type of stuff happening to receivers and such.

DBs are gonna start going at legs instead of risking the 25K for hitting a guy in the chest.

Cushing wasn't even looking at the guy who hit him. It was a blind shot to his knees.

So you're suggesting the defender should have alerted Cushing before the hit or shouldn't have hit him at all?

Yup, that's exactly what I'm suggesting. Lol You're becoming a pain in the ***. I'm starting to see a trend with you. Why don't you just ignore me man?

I don't have anyone on ignore.

I don't care enough to put anyone on there.

I suppose if you feel so bothered, you could try it out.

....and the ref looked RIGHT at it and did nothing because that block is legal in the NFL: just a gutless, cowardly joke of a block that they ALLOW. The Broncos and their infamous line coach use to wreck many a knee with those type cowardly blocks. I don't like Cushing or the Texans but fair is fair and that "block" was a disgrace.:banghead:
