you forgot attitude. He publically stated that he was a CB and had no intention of playing safety. that wen't over really well with the coach.

Right..he's so bad..we coveted him for 3 years and he was sold as the next great CB to us before he went down in his third game.

Be careful what you say..you may end up eating it if suddenly the Mick tells us he's at The Ranch trying out. I don't think this team is so deep in talent or has all the answers in the secondary that we won't consider it.

I don't remember there being any big acrimony with the team and Hunter when they made the trade to grant his request. He even admitted he would try to make the transition if the team wanted him too.

Unfortunately, Izell Reese came available and a couple of rookies we drafted looked promising for less money and Hunter got his wish.

But I don't think the Cowboys wouldn't consider it if it fit into their needs.

I'm certainly not sold on Davis as FS and he never had a lock on the position at all. Reese is gone and Pile MIGHT be an answer, but it maybe mid-season before he starts to produce given his late start.

By that time, the FS position may cause us to re-design the secondary to hide the weakness and change our whole concept as a pressure defense in the 3-4 to do it.

Me, I'd have my finger on the Rolladex under "H" and just call to see if his cellphone is still working.
