Cut Poe

You guys clamored for a fat *** in the middle who just took up blocks. Now you have it and you're mad that he's not commanding double teams and then also beating them and getting pressures/TCL. A guy we got for next to nothing. I think yall are confused about DT play.

This defense is trash, but Poe is exactly as advertised and exactly what you "wide body lovers" wanted. Now you're having buyers remorse. News flash guys, the entire defense is ***. One player ANYWHERE on this defense wouldn't make a shred of difference.
Yes because thats exactly what I have been saying all along lol

Woods plays about as many snaps as Poe, often together on the field...
Different alignments cant be ignored, however Poe seems less effective that what we were getting previously from Woods at that spot.

Having them on the field at the same time just seems odd to me

Dude is gassed. Right now he is a downgrade from what we got from Woods the last couple years. People talk about Snacks, but right now just going back to Woods would be upgrade

Frankly I don't any reason for him to be on the team

Yep dude is done. Waste of space.

agree.

he’s terrible.

jogs through plays and rarely makes a play.

It does create an interesting conversation. I noticed cleveland moved the line often today. They kind of remind me of our line a couple years ago with martin/fredrick in the middle who were just overall good athletes with great footwork. Im really curious if the big run stuffing DTs are going to be phased out of the game for smaller, quicker DTs who can move side to side.

yes.

Poe is slow and he’s lost a lot strength.

Poe = Useless
Tank = Useless
Secondary =Useless
Jaylon Smith = Trash

Poe needs to get cut

Worley, Thompson and Jaylon need to join him getting cut

a message needs to get sent

Agreed, Poe has been a disappointment and perhaps Nolan based his defense on the big man to produce

:hammer:.....Sadly..I think his job was to draw a double team....and keep people off our ILBers. Problem has been...he can be single blocked....teams have figured out if you get our line moving east and west....you can zone block the crap out of us. This game reminded me of the Rams playoff game from 2 years ago....where we just couldn't get off the field.

We like our guys so don't expect any change

Dude is straight up trash, he is just collecting checks at this point along with a hell of a lot of others.

I think a competent CB instead of Worley would make a big difference.

If it was up to me, Id cut him, bring in Snacks and play Gallimore on passing downs.

Gallimore may be a mess, but you may be progression

I'd keep Poe and let him play himself into shape, but Gallimore and Hill should be our "starting" pass rush DTs.

As you say, we at least will get development with Gallimore. Maybe quickly.

Makes some sense to me. They're the veteran true DTs. They both started last year.

We have very little at DT. McCoy was supposed to be anchor there. Poe, Woods, Hill, Gallimore, Crawford. Hill did nothing but embarrass himself last year. Gallimore is a rookie. Crawford is playing poorly.

But I'd be playing Gallimore more and Crawford only as the rotation for Galllimore and Hill for pass rushing downs.
