Cut Pollard

Indeed, and I certainly hope McCarthy and Fassel work with him on that. His poor decision making can't continue.

And that is the job of coaches, to correct or replace. In some cases their hands are tied such as with the secondary where they are very thin and already reaching into PS players. But as we saw on the OL they were willing to make a change because they were not satisfied with what they were seeing. I suspect the same will happen with Pollard on special teams, he will either correct his mistakes or they will look to someone else to take over those duties.

I would imagine that to be the case. Unlike Garrett, this staff adjusts and fixes problems. This is a problem that needs fixing. Let's see how they fix the KR problem.

Tony Pollard needs to be either cut or on the hot seat. Last week, his poor decisions on KR put us in massive field position holes. Luckily for him, we ended up winning last week. This week, he had some poor decisions, and then that fumble that set up the safety. It's bad enough that our D is atrocious, but it's worse knowing that we are probably going to have to to travel about 90 yards to score a TD. Not to mention that I don't think he did anything but return kickoffs today. I'd say put Cedrick Wilson and/or Lamb back there on KR, and cut Pollard.

In his place, sign Lamar Miller (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MillLa01.htm). He's a FA, and would be a nice complementary bruising RB to help Zeke when he's tired. Or, sign Isaiah Crowell for the same purpose (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CrowIs00.htm).
hes not the overhyped backup most here states he is laughable they said he should replace zeke when the holdout was looming..hes done that on KRs more then few times ..for as little as hes touched the ball hes already made a ton of miscues.. not sure he needs to be cut but theres reason the coaches doesnt give him a bigger role,,

Hes not better then Dunbar they are pretty much the same player..

I'd have Dunbar back in a heartbeat with the way Pollard has played lately. At least Dunbar could handle screen passes.

I don't think KR is the primary or secondary cause of being 1-2. If we had any semblance of a secondary, we would be 3-0.
The Cowboys are playing with CB3,4,5.
They can and likely will improve there internally.

Tony Pollard is the lead KR and is awful at that job.
He's the back up RB but they don't trust him to block so don't give him snaps.
That is 100% healthy Tony Pollard....

I'd certainly be trying out safeties and corners weekly but I can bring up a practice squad RB and improve upon the KR duties today.

I'd improve KR and punter because those are VERY easily accomplished and cost me next to nothing.
In 1 score games every little bit helps.

Exactly, the KR is an easy fix. And I think I know some punters that we can bring in to replace Chris Jones.

Pollard does not need to be cut. He needs to be taken off of returns. He also needs to get it together...he has not produced as we all hoped. Maybe it's coaching?

Yes, they are. I'll overlook Z's second missed XP as that was blocked, and I'll chalk that up to our banged up oline. The first one was inexcusable however. Our entire ST was awful.

I thought "bones" would have them playing better. I really think the lack of an offseason is not helping. No staff and all.

Idk about coaching or what with him. What I do know is that Pollard is not good at KR. He has not been helpful to us this year.

I know it was an overreaction, but still. I don't think he should be returning kickoffs.
Hes done decent besides yesterday's 1 muff. I just dont know who else could be back there

Ok, maybe it's an overreaction, but Pollard is terrible at KR.
He is, but I’m trying to figure out what he’s been told to do from the coaching staff. I was shocked he brought some of those balls out against Atlanta. If I remember right, one was 5 yards deep. Has he been given carte blanche to do what he wants? I could see that based on this staff, or even told to return no mater what to try to make a game changing play.

Yeah, and he got to I think the 11 on that return. Idk what he's told by the coaching staff, but the coaches need to tell him differently since he clearly can't get to the 25.
