Cut Tashard Choice?

After that brain dead gaffe last night, I can't see the argument for even having Choice on the roster.

He missed most of training camp and isn't in shape. He has 15 carries for 14 yards so far. He doesn't play special teams or contribute in any other way. He doesn't fit in with our future plans.

He has no trade value. There isn't a team in the league that would give up anything for this guy at this point.

Is this not simply a wasted roster spot? You can't tell me Tanner couldn't out produce Choice right now.

Churn the roster. Dump this guy and Buehler.

It just gets old I guess. I was a Choice fan when we drafted him and fell off his wagon quick. He has a few who still want him to break out but it's pretty clear he's a decent runner with a bad attitude and very limited skills to me.

I actually like the videos. I think they're hilarious.

That being said, a fun guy doesn't make the team (Julius Crosslin).

I'd have cut him before he got off the ground after diving out of bounds.

Jones is going to get hurt again this year and then who do we have? Tanner and Murray? Cut Choice if you want, I'm all for it, but you better come up with someone to replace him. Slaton? Lonyae Miller?

I'd actually be as happy with Murray or Tanner in there.

Murray can block as well as Choice (actually better), he is a better runner and he is a better receiver. He seems to be doing okay with his hammy now.

Tanner is more of an unknown but I'd rather have him out there in short yardage because he runs with some power. I don't think I've ever seen Choice gain a yard after contact.

No one.

We have one more RB on the roster than we usually have.

Just make sure we have an extra RB on the PS who can come in if we have a season ending injury.

If Felix could play last night and he hasn't majorly injured his shoulder, he can play next week too. It will be some time before that shoulder settles down as he has torn one of the supporting ligaments of his AC joint and the area is still probably inflamed.

It happens in the NFL all the time, but it's not *just* the injury. It's the entire cocktail of suckiness that Choice has become.

We had a window to trade the guy and get something for him; the window has closed. It's time to cut our losses and move on, IMO.

I'm actually surprised a lot of people seem to agree with me, I figured Choice was still highly thought of by most posters.
